What are the stories you talked about?
Most of them have to do with the festival experience itself -- the location of the concert, the ambiance, the city, the fact that I got to attend the rehearsals with Elliot himself and just me and him sitting in the stairs and talking for 12 minutes in one of the breaks. The seminars with occasional hilarious Goldenthal quotes.
Francis also mentioned a couple of stressful situations, like when we stupidly walked in the wrong direction, missing the SST transportation to the PERFUME concert, then desperately looking for a taxi untill we finally found one and managed to be there JUST on time.
Or when we bought bus tickets to the salt mines, but forgot to validate them/stamp them and then there was a control (whether legit or not, I stilll don't know). They had little understanding of us being stupid tourists, so we had to pay a fine (although somewhat discounted).I am extremely serious. -

I am back again too. Thanks all for the good company! Music was great, met some new composers and friends. In general a lot of fun.
For the record the maintitles/FSM guys have more stamina than the SST guys ;-)Editor-in-chief at http://soundtrackworld.com / http://soundtrackwereld.nl -

Put together this montage of the Goldenthal panel discussion and also shows snippets from the concert. You'll love the quotes near the end

OK, here is my coverage of the festival in two parts, one on the concerts and one on the Q&As and stuff.
They're both in Norwegian, but the second part includes two video segments in English, one of which was shot by Francis:

There is one more part to come, the Goldenthal interview, but I'll post that in the EG thread, probably (and here).I am extremely serious. -

Woah, nice photos! Thor was there too eh? Nice gang. Also, did they perform the entire PERFUME live with orchestra, or just extracts? How was it?Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

It was the complete movie. It was awesome. Shame I did not know the movie, I was being to much attention to the screen instead of the music..
I bought the score to compensate for that.Editor-in-chief at http://soundtrackworld.com / http://soundtrackwereld.nl -

A bit early to create a 2013 thread on the next festival, but apparently I'll be in the jury for next year's festival. I know about some interesting guests as well, but I'm not allowed to comment at the present time.
Anyways, it means that I will return to Krakow and hope to see some of you there.I am extremely serious. -

I was planning to do a festival again next year. If the programme is interesting, then why not Krakow. We can go by car, I think Caliburn and Francis did that this year?Kazoo -

Yes, Francis was there, but not by car. Caliburn drove, I think. Then again, SST is everywhere across the globe at all times, as long as there is film music!
I really want to do one of the Spanish festivals -- Tenerife or Ubeda (or wherever it's moved to now). They're more expensive and cumbersome to get to, but still...you never know how long they'll last (Soncinemad being a good example).
If I have the money, I will also try to do New York....maybe in correlation with a film music event, where I can also meet fellow FSM'ers.I am extremely serious. -

I flew to Krakow with Ryan Air, very cheap and fast. I'd like to do Krakow again, it's a great venue but it will depend on the program. The same for the Spanish festivals though they would be a first.
Congratulations on the jury duty Thor, I hope they let you cut the cake -

I drove too. It took me 6 days to arrive in Krakow
Of course if anything goes as planned I and SST will be there again too. That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)
