The Mountain Men - Michel Legrand
One of the best surprises amongst recent soundtrack releases. This is a wonderfully exciting action/adventure score. -

NP : THE IPCRESS FILE - John Barry
Lots of variations on a ( corking ) theme, most of which isn't in the film so I guess Barry filled it out to make the album and a very fine album it is. The film is perfectly scored and well worth your time watching if you've not seen it.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

NP : DEADFALL - John Barry
Wonderful score for a very uneven film, the centre piece being a 14 minute guitar concerto, the film is worth watching for this sequence alone where Michael Caine is robbing a mansion of it's safe a concert takes place next door conducted by John Barry, no less.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Not something to rock the world, but a very solid and pleasant score to listen to. Haven't seen the flick jet.
You'll love it when you see the film. It's brilliant.
Ah! So you've seen the film? Did I miss something in the recent viewing thread?
Of course i saw it but i am saving it for my review of the score Loved it.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

This morning I listened to some cues from Dimitri Tiomkin's "Fall of the Roman Empire" after I saw the film yesterday night. Great music, especially in the quiter moments.
In the afternoon I was at leasure to rest on the couch. I put my earphones one and listened to John Williams "Return of the Jedi", the Fox release of my favourite orchestral score. I love edit and mix of these 1993 releases.
Just now I saw and heard the Berlin Philharmonics conducted by Simon Rattle with their traditional New Year's Eve concert:
(In German)
Jean-Philippe Rameau: Tänze aus Les Boréades
Georg Friedrich Händel: Drei Arien (Cecilia Bartoli)
Antonín Dvorák: Slawischer Tanz C-Dur op. 46 Nr. 1
Camille Saint-Saëns: Danse macabre op. 40
Maurice Ravel: Daphnis et Chloé, Suite Nr. 2
Johannes Brahms: Ungarischer Tanz Nr. 1 g-Moll
Now we are awaiting some guest! Have a fun time everybody!
VolkerBach's music is vibrant and inspired. -

Hoosiers Jerry Goldsmith
I'm too lazy to describe my thoughts on this score, but luckily someone has already written them for me. How kind of him, whoever he is! -

It's James Southall, who is running that site.
Or were you kidding and I didn't get it?Bach's music is vibrant and inspired. -

Speaking of languages (which, on a serious note, I love), I vote that 'queue' is the most retarded word in use in the english language. -

English? It is simply French for 'tail'.

For example:
une queue de chèvre: a goat's tail.
Not to be confused with an "oeuf de chèvre": a goat's egg.
Or, for another example:
La queue de deux cités: a tail of two cities.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

I meant its use is retarded, not the actual root of the word I should add!
Srsly.
Queue. It should be pronounced 'kyoo-eeh-ooh-eeh'. -
