Dissapointed with a score with so few number of tracks, and with a 52 minutes realease. Let's hope all the music is worth it.

It seems an step back from da vinci code. But it's just the track list...

Hmm... I was hoping for a somewhat even more generous running time then DVC, so it's a bit of a downer. Plus, the final tracks are on the short side; could this suggest we're not ending with a climax like Sangreal? However, the short amount of cues and the long general running time is great and just the way every album should be cool

Guys, they're just numbers. You're looking at numbers. Calm the fuck down.

Since the last 2 tracks of the score are a 2 minutes long tracks, i can't see another conclusion like "CheValiers of Sangreal".

Besides, all my favourite themes from Da Vinci Code will be not used : sangreal's theme, Maria Magdalen's theme and Sophie's theme.

So, We only can expect the theme for the "quest" or the "discovery" (the batman begins strings like one) and perhaps Zimmer can re-place the Opus Dei theme as a theme for Illuminati.

In some ways, I prefer Zimmer leave this Da Vinci Code themes (wich probably are some of his most gorgeous themes) and creates almost a whole new score for his fans.

Whatever he does, I'm sure you'll go through all the appropriate bi-polar reactions to it.

Gosh, I missed a lot of stuff here!

I was hoping for a 60 min+ album, but I hope what we have here covers most highlights and is a good listening experience. The theme here is Science and Religion so we should have some synth material integrated with orchestral/choir stuff. Looking forward to the clips!

Actually,
if you've read the book, you'll see the ending is not really a big climax like DVC (at least not in the triumphant sense). And if I'm not wrong, Immolation will be the music from the "climax" for the film.
1. .
The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else.
2. Aye, that's pure Zimmer.

Ouch....old Zimmer sound. Hope it stays there forever.
Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you
3. The thing is that the arrangement is not very good rather than the melody itself.

Hans did two main titles theme for the show, and that was the for the first season opener. The second one is similar to what Mark Isham finally came up with for Chicago Hope (also a series that has some great introspective scoring by Jeff Rona, who did some work for High Incident as well).

Following in the footsteps of Henry Mancini and Miklos Rozsa ain't easy. But if anyone can do it, it's Alexandre Desplat. Oh.

(Having said that - Guy Ritchie is the kind of director whose films I wouldn't mind Zimmer scoring, if it keeps him off good ones.) Just kidding, Ralph. Don't shout at me.

WHAT?!!!!!! Now I'm really looking forward to this movie.
4. Now THIS is strange and probably the first time I am not 100% happy about a specific assignment for Hans Zimmer.

It will be quite interesting to see what he comes up with, though, and although I would have loved to get an old-fashioned Holmes tale with a composer like Desplat, Fenton, or Delerue at the helm, since this feels less and less like your granddad´s Sherlock Holmes, Hans is probably a fitting choice in the end.

I think that Hans will give this movie what it needs. I'm really curious about how RDJ is portraying this character though.

Wou, that's a real surprise!
Very interesting... but I actually have absolutely no idea what to expect.

Hans just can't get a year off for his concert tour. But he told me, that he is working on it, but this might no slow things quite a bit down... we'll see.

Is Hans confirmed to be assigned to Verbinski's Bioshock, or was that just a rumor?
