Any Haribo candy found in Scandinavian countries these days hail from DENMARK, not Germany. It may have been established in Germany, but there's no Haribo connection to that country anymore, at least not up here.
I'm sure it is, but that's like saying Coca Cola isn't American, because it's bottled in Belgium for Northern Europe! Haribo is a German company, with German directors.
That they have a subsidiary in Denmark (which isn't a separate business entity or independent in any way. but which simply produces the stuff in the Scandinavian states) doesn't change that at all, obviously.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

I never heard of Galaxy chocolate. I do know Callebaut, which is known as the finest Belgian chocolate. It's used by patissiers to make chocolates too. It's also used for the chocolate fountains. It's really good quality chocolate and tastes heavenly.
But as far as I know you can't buy 'Callebaut bars' in the supermarket or something? Only in... (damn I miss my dictionary!)... you know, stores for companies, like Sligro and Makro.
From the supermarket I like Milka (or just the one from the supermarket brand) the most and Cote d'Or the least. There's this weird taste to Cote d'Or I really don't like. -

I don't know?
One of the first things I ever noticed when I went abroad for the first time ( i.e. crossing the water to Europe ) was that Twix was Raiders and Marathon was Snickers
( Marathon is called Snickers here too now and has been for many years ).
By the way, I agree with you on Galaxy
p.s. Afraid to say that American chocolate is rubbish. If you want ultimate quality you've gotta go Belgian.

In Canada, "Smarties" aren't the same thing as in the US. They're actually like M&Ms only better. Much better.
And the American Smarties are actually known as "Rockets" in Canada.

These are the American smarties
In Canada, the same candy is called "Rockets". ("Fusées" in French)
But see the disclaimer at the bottom of that page? "Do not confuse our Smarties with Nestlé chocolate Smarties.
Which are these.
I think this is a picture of the German product. The Canadian ones come in a thin box like this.

There's only one type of chocolate!
Belgian chocolate like Cote d'Or (or as a valid and more fair alternative, the chocolate from Oxfam Fairtrade, which is great too as they actually use the cacao beans that Belgians use)Kazoo -

I don't hate them, but they are the main culprit when you think "aww man, I'm fat" after eating one.
