So, let me get this straight - you are not my brother and Michael Giacchino is not my brother. That seriously narrows it down but I still need to know - who IS my brother?

Too bad there isn't some of his more obscure stuff on the program including his fantastic Camden 2000 symphony.

Depends on what you want. You can stay at a backpack hostel for about 30 US-Dollars a night or have a nice mid-class hotel for about 60 US-Dollar a night... or you do couch-surfing.

I am definitely interested. Looking for flights right now.

Is there an easy way to go to Lucerne from Zurich? I assume there's train or something?

Also, are the tickets for the saturday concerts already available?

Yes, train is an easy way and the cheapest and fastes one too! :-)
From about 6am till 6pm there is a direct train from Zurich Airport to Lucerne every hour. Inbetween are two more connections, departing regularly but you have to change trains at the train main station in Zurich (no big deal either, just a bit less comfortable;-)).

I believe some places will accept them however as it is not their national currency I would suggest exchanging them for francs to be safe. You don't want to get stuck somewhere with no money.

Swiss francs. Trying to hang on to those is like trying to hang on to water, cripplingly expensive country.

A couple of days ago, Michael Giacchino tweeted that there is a limited edition of the John Carter score released on March 6th. I can't see if there's any difference between the standard and the limited edition? It even has the same ASIN, so I'm guessing there's just one release? Also when I search Amazon.com it only has the limited edition release, where as Amazon.co.uk only has the standard one smile Does anyone know if there's going to be more than one release?

It says "LIMITED EDITION physical soundtrack run. Get yours before they are gone!" so I think there will only be a limited number of pressed CD's.

Ah, ok. As long as there's only one version. I have already preordered it, so hopefully it will be in the mail in a week's time smile
  1. Could it be, just speculation here, he's just off by a day, and this is one of the March 5th Varese Limited Edition scores coming out?

Well, the one he linked to was a Disney release - at least it says so on Amazon.

The choir sounds massive! Are they normally that size?

I wonder if the Lost concert will be the smaller TV sized orchestra.

I guess so? I think the forces were even a bit bigger when I saw Ennio Morricone at the Barbican.
