I sadly have nothing yet by Michael Kamen. What would you all recommend for me to start off with?
Open Range
Band Of brothers
Sweepingly dramatic and melodic music with beautiful themes. And of course you can't go wrong with Mr. Holland's Opus, Don Juan DeMarco and The Three Musketeers.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

101 Dalmations and Robin Hood are really great scores too. I myself have a lot of Kamen yet to discover! -

Indeed; but depends on which side of Kamen you want to hear first Dramatic-melancholic and deeply melodic, grand and lush orchestral, or the lighter version of his incredible musical persona?Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

I'd prefer to hear the former first. -

Ok, then BAND OF BROTHERS and OPEN RANGE is for you for a start; otherwise you end up with too many recommendations and lost, deciding to not check any of those instead; i know, i've done it numerous times when i asked for something specific from a composer and people were coming with hordes of THEIR favourite scores by the composer It's not bad and it's certainly very expected, but a little filtering helps from time to time, esp. if you want to attract someone to one's work. In general though, if you like what you hear, the recommendations made above are a must indeed, for a latter stageLove Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

I grabbed the dvdrip version. If you don't mind the explosions and swords it allows you to hear much of that amazing, missing stuff.
Plus, I've owned 2 copies of the original release. So no. I don't consider myself evil. And not even for the Lethal Weapon 4 rip either. -
