MOBY
There can't be too many film music fans not familiar with at least a couple of this man's tracks on various albums ( the Bourne film scores come to mind ) and of course, the excellent, if well worn album Play but did you know Moby, who's real name is Richard Melville Hall got his nickname of 'Moby' due to his ancestral relationship to his great great great granduncle Herman Melville author of the classic MOBY DICK.
TRUE or FALSE ?

Only joking.
The answer is ( as Martijn knew ) indeed TRUE!On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Melville is an interesting story himself if you've read about him. His books didn't sell while he was alive.

Moby Dick is based on the true story of a whaler named The Essex, I've heard there are plans to turn it into a movie!?On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

I read the true story and it's an incredible and harrowing story. It's called In The Heart of The Sea by Nathaniel Philbrick. Very recommended. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

TRUE. I'm guessing it was later in his life, when he had long since become an "icon", but didn't look so much like his old self? Why would they otherwise hold such a contest?I am extremely serious. -
