With a metal band? Yeah, i can imagine the score sounding like Djawadi. Seriously.

You know good and well that Powell is NOT Djawadi. And there have been a lot of excellent rock influenced film scores out there. Let's see where this one goes. And by the description of it being a western we might end up with something like American Outlaws (which was actually surprisingly good) or Young Guns II.

D worried about a horror/western John Powell score with Megan Fox? You're kidding right? This could be awesome! cool

Chris Young's Ghost Rider actually sprung to mind.

Well yeah, but that weren't made with a metal band. Don't get me wrong, i love metal and i love rock influences in film music when done correctly; this, however seems too risky to me. Anyway, we'll see.

Maybe they are just performers and not contributing any original music themselves. OR they are supplying a song and Powell is assisting them with it.

Who knows... let's wait a see. But I always look forward to another John Powell project!

It's a Powell project that isn't an animation. Freakin'. Finally.

I thought Ghost Rider involved NIN (Nine Inch Nails)?

    Disturbed.
  2. According to Variety, Peter Berg, for whom Powell scored his last movie, is makign a film based on the boardgame Battleship.

He is also making: "Hancock 2" and "Dune" (another Dune? Shoot me now)
The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else.

I didn't associate Peter Berg with John Powell when I heard about Berg potentially doing Dune. But a Dune score by Powell sounds like a FABULOUS idea!!
I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to!

Yeah that would be cool but just imagine a DUNE score done by Elliot Goldenthal.

No where. I thought it sounded a lot like him, but began to question it though. And what other place to ask but here.

Or....or....it can be from any other composer out there these days since everyone is Powell-influenced from time to time wink Doesn't google hold any more info on this?
