    Seems way below Powell's usual standard to me, as if he was asleep when he composed this. It's recognizable Powell, but just sounds like generic, rhythmic thriller stuff.

    That said, I'm not sure how good the Screen Archives site is at selecting sound clips. Perhaps they just chose some uninteresting stuff. Difficult to judge an entire album from 4 short clips.

    Thanks! It's not my cup of tea when it comes to Powell but I'm sure it's restrained style has a purpose.

    Just saw HOW TO TRAIN A DRAGON. Fine film, albeit very predictable, following the standard recipe of most mainstream animated films for kids over the last few years.

    The score was lovely, though. It soared and raved throughout. Very memorable.
    I am extremely serious.
