Anthony, it's ok to be ignorant of many things, but John Corigliano's musical prowess is not one of those things.A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

According to the "Funny People" trailer (Directed by Judd Apatow), Jason Schwartzman (who also stars in the movie) is doing the music. He is the front man for the band Phantom Planet, so one has to assume the movie will contain some underscore and mostly songs. -

Don't want to make anyone feel bad here and it's certainly is NOT my intention, but this is exactly the kind of .... "news" that make people NOT read this thread (see JOHN CORIGLIANO thread for example).
I mean, WHO FRIGGIN' CARES? If you're going to go on a imdb / yahoo.movies / empire / apple trailers / whatever rampage to find who's scoring the most God-forsaken movies out there, then it's natural that the genuinely worthy of mentioning assignments will go unnoticed!
As for the argument Mikael once raised about building his company on those very little unknown composers and movies (to which i got a "touche" ) well i can wholly respect that but honestly, i expect MSM to bring me whatever good music comes from those small assignments, not to get flooded every single time one totally unknown composer gets to score his neighbor's or best friend's home-made video.
'Cause i don't care. Nobody does.
Rant over.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Most things that get posted in this thread are mind-numbingly boring and obscure. I only check on the ever vain hope that there might something worthwhile (like the Corigliano news!) -
- CommentTimeFeb 21st 2009
Calm down guys. You don't need to check this thread. Perhaps Justin and the others like finding new assignments for some reason, and to some it may be interesting indeed. There is a lot of non-news in here though.Kazoo -

Sure, but it only takes a quick click in and a click out when it's something the individual isn't interested in.

I just wish there was something worthwhile more often... again, like the Corigliano news. I fail to see the point in much of the updates in this thread, most of them aren't even worth the effort of clicking the 'add your comments' button. Though more of an observation than a complaint. It's not as though I get physically hurt every time pointless updates are added to this thread... -

Agree with Tim.
Sometimes I find the info in this thread interesting. Sometimes I do not.
