Can somebody confirm who's scoring Shark Night 3-D? I remember reading somewhere that Powell was doing it, but I can't find anything about it...
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1633356/
Thanks in advance! -

That's what I find, too, in an internet search.
But BMI shows cues by a composer named Grant Innes McLachlan. There's an actress with that last name in the film. The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

Knopfler with the LSO? Could be interesting. -

Still, unusual for him to be working with an orchestra, isn't it? -

I love his songs! -

Yeah, I'm an old Dire Straits fan too, although not so much anymore (I still give them a spin once in a while).
I'm not too keen on Knopfler's film music, but some of his songs are very epic (especially from LOVE OVER GOLD), so an orchestral arrangement wouldn't be THAT farfetched.I am extremely serious. -
- CommentTimeApr 26th 2011
I love Knopfler's recent studio albums, particularly The Ragpicker's Dream (as well as the classic Dire Straits stuff). Have only heard a smallish amount of his film music but I love the easy-going nature of it. -
