    Since there are so many Dutch people here (and sorry again, Bregt!), I thought you - in particular - would love the videos below.

    One shouldn't explain comedy, but a little backstory needs to be said here: This is a NORWEGIAN comedy show from a few years back, and neither the hosts nor the audience understand Dutch. However, they have found an audio recording of an obscure(?) Dutch skit, and perform various absurd acts TO that skit. The last one is particularly funny, as the guy interviews various people in the Netherlands with just lines from that skit (he doesn't speak Dutch):

    It not so much Keyboard Cat that I was getting at. First of all, it's the brilliant clip that Keyboard Clip played off... but then it hits you... 4 minutes of Hall and Oates WITH Keyboard Cat?!?!? Fucking genius!!!!

    Not my kind of humour, to be honest, but then again, I'm not a "stand up"-kind of guy. I'm more of an "absurd humour" guy, like those videos I posted up there a few days ago.

    Not obscure at all in The Netherlands: Wim Kan, the originator, is one of Holland's most revered "cabaretiers" (there is no English equivalent: it's a cross between someone doing skits, vaudeville show and songs), though by todays standards his skits are terribly slow and outdated.

    I didn't get the first three, as -as obviously I speak Dutch- there is in fact very little juxtaposition between what is heard and what is seen, until it gets so far out of whack it's just not very funny in its own right (not surreal. Surreal is good. Just out of whack.). I was trying to imagine if I'd think it was funny had it been Finnish or some other language I don't speak, but it still didn't much appeal to me.

    The fourth one though is excellent, though it does indeed work best because it is the last in line.
