- Comment Loved the film and loved the score. I actually had the main theme somehow stuck in my head long before I had seen the film, so when I finally saw it I was pleasantly surprised. It also got me to explore other Franz Waxman works. Then from Waxman I went off exploring other golden age composers until ...

- Comment I can guess some of the composers easy enough, but I just do not have these scores to check on them. Or have the slightest clue what some of them are. Damn it all! :dizzy: If I do not come up with anything else by tomorrow night, I guess I'll send it what I have.

- Comment Well it's my opinion that every industry has its up and down periods. While I agree that this one has lasted 2 to 3 years, maybe it will start picking up again. But I do admit that I never considered the amount of releases as a factor. Also where once there was a couple of hundred film composers at ...

- discussion topic Any Re-Make Scores Better Than The Original?
- Comment Thomas Newman's score to Little Women in 1994 is far superior to incarnations of the past. But I can't really think of anything too high profile. At least with this version of the film, they didn't change anything drastically like other film incarnations do which make it difficult to compare.

- Comment At least for ROTS, the tracked on music wasn't as bad as the other two PT films. Though I believe the temp score highly influenced some decision making. The only spot in ROTS where I wish they had original music, but didn't was in fact the marching into the temple scene with the clonetroopers. ...

- Comment Well it's not set in stone yet. Scoring for Deathly Hallows is still 2 years off. Yates has been loyal to his friend with two Potter films, but Yates needs to seriously consider working with the legendary John Williams to round out the saga. If not to just say he worked with John Williams. If ...

- Comment If I were Yates, I'd tell my friend Hooper that it's time for him to "expand his horizons" and find a new franchise or something. I mean what director wouldn't want John Williams to work on their film? Especially if the two Deathly Hallow films could potentially be one of his last scores.
