- Comment I was (finally!) able to pick up my new TV yesterday. After saving up for the thing for nearly a year, to actually have it in my room, and doing everything the salesperson promised me it would do, is wonderful. Not that I'm anticipating trouble, but technology and I have a long-standing ...

- Comment
Bregt wrote Since a few days, I have an iPhone (beware, I got it, wouldn't buy it myself). This is one of the most coolest things I've ever had in my hands. It runs so smooth, works so well and breaths freshnss and pure logic. The touch screen and OS works extremely well.
The ...

- discussion topic What's made your day that little bit better?
- Comment I ordered my new TV today, and when I got back from the store I found my car on the driveway. It's been at the smash repair place for the last few days, so to say I'm thrilled to get it back would be an understatement. Overall, it's been a good day. :)

- discussion topic What's annoying you currently? (Complaining now banned)
- Comment Thor, move to Australia. It's been so hot and humid here over the last few days that your cold would soon take a hike. Annoying ME currently: Being house-bound for the next few days while my car is in getting repaired, and thus not being able to get my TV until the weekend after next (too busy ...

- discussion topic BRIAN TYLER
- Comment I saw Eagle Eye at the cinema tonight. The score has its moments (some of the cues employed during scene transitions are quite good), but overall I had a sense of 'heard that before' about the whole thing. I certainly couldn't listen to the entire soundtrack CD in one sitting (even two ...

- Comment I've been fortunate with a couple of soundtracks lately when it comes to their packaging. The Indy 4 and Wall-E soundtracks both come in digipak's in the United States, but here in Australia they are in a jewel case. For the most part, I don't really mind digipak's, so long as there ...

- discussion topic I can name that tune in.........................
- Comment To answer the question posed by my good friend Moonie at the beginning of the thread, I've often been in situations where I've named a particular piece of film music, to much aghast looks from those who have asked me. My favourite moment came a couple of months ago when I was at a friend's place. ...

- discussion topic What music is stuck in your head right now?
- Comment I've got part of the "Overture" from El Cid stuck in my head at the moment. Specifically, the section beginning at 1:19 on the Tadlow re-recording featuring the spritely string work. Not that I'm complaining, because it's wonderful music (as is the entire score).

- Comment I was quite annoyed when a 2CD set of The Boys from Brazil was announced, with a price tag (including postage) of $37.99 US Dollars. With the crazy exchange rate at the moment, I ended up forking out over $45 Australian Dollars. Of course, I have no problem paying that price for something ...
