Secrets of the Furious Five was a short released in 2008, which I think didn't have any score release. The upcoming 2011 film is titled "Kaboom Of Doom". wink

Even when Zimmer's name is most probably decorative or when the music is actually by another composer at its largest percentage, is fun to observe how people still call it a Zimmer score wink

Well since he is Jackman's and Zanelli's mentor after all, it isn't really that inappropriate, methinks. wink No kidding, I'm excited to hear Jackman's work because I loved what he did in Pirates 3 and Monsters Vs. Aliens.

I'm very interested in hearing what Jackman will do for this movie. There's no doubt that Hans was/is involved in some capacity. Let's hope that the final score is more orchestral than not.

I guess that means John Powell isn't scoring Winnie The Pooh.

But I can't wait for Ice Age: Continental Drift, and the fourth installment, Ice Age: Dangerous Tectonic Activity.

I have high hopes for Jackman because "Ginormica Suite" was one of the most entertaining cues of 2009. And fully orchestral too! To me it showcased a much more complex musicality than you usually get from the RC composers. Plus he was apparently the main composer of "Up is Down" from Potc:AWE and that was one of the best parts of that score.

Anthony, don't you mean the fifth installment? wink
I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to!

I don't know about you. But I wouldn't mind seeing a Winnie The Pooh DTV movie. My girl likes Winnie and I'm sure she won't mind seeing it when she grow up. X-Men: First Class is being shepherded by Matthew Vaughn who knows how to make a entertaining movie, and, as seen with Kick-Ass, a good one too. Puss in Boots is gonna be the first Shrek spinoff starring an actually interesting character from the series, and the score will no doubt has a Zorro-esque spanish theme and perhaps lots of orchestral writing.
Am I being too optimistic? Maybe? Maybe not? Of course I'm not one to always rush to judgment on titles that hasn't been released yet.

It's a theatrical feature by the mainstream Disney studio (Walt Disney Animation Studios), so it will be artistically superior than DTV and such.

I wouldn't mind whoever will score it unless he ruins the Sherman Bros' masterpiece theme song wink

It's going to be technically superior. Nothing guarantees artistic superiority though, just because it's a theatrical feature.

I meant the art of animation will be superior... yeah you can call it technical. The world's top animators are working on the new Pooh at WDAS, and I heard the art direction is different from previous series. Story-wise, it's based on the original book so I don't think it will be a disaster.

I dislike how the franchise went these days, so it's nice to see them going back to A. A. Milne's original. smile
