    It's the second time Jérôme Lemonnier is nominated. I guess he'll have to be nominated another 2 times, and then will win (of course, only if he will attend).

    Come ooon. This will be a fun event again. Glad not only the concert is worht the money!

    Ah no worries mate; you'll hear other composers' music live there, like you did in the previous years. It's like listening to Lockington anyway.

    30 or 35EUR. We had to order tickets for the second concert (10:30pm), because the first one was sold out early!

    WOW!

    The Traffic Quintet concert!

    More info (it's not Godard à Audiard)

    Marilyn Monroe, Janet Leigh, Sharon Stone, Jeanne Moreau and Nicole Kidman, these are only a few of the world-famous actresses who made film history to what it is today. Composer Alexandre Desplat and the Traffic Quintet pay a musical tribute to these mythical women called Divine Féminin. A marvellous film soundtrack night with ‘Women’ as theme, on Wednesday 14 October in Handelsbeurs Ghent.

    The French composer, Alexandre Desplat, adapted music by colleague-composers like Bernard Herrmann, Jerry Goldsmith, Georges Delerue and Gabriel Yared. The accompanying images are by film maker Ange Leccia who based himself on the American film noir and the work of the French artist Jacques Monory. An instrumental suite which Pacal Dusapin wrote for his opera Medeamaterial is also part of the concert. The music will be accompanied by images of Maria Callas in her only film role as Medea in the film of the same name by Pier Paolo Pasolini.

    Oh oh. Travel should be all right.

    You can travel from London to Brussels (and back) with the Eurostar for 80EUR, then buy a train ticket from Brussels to Ghent (or I can pick you up) which is about 20EUR, and then there's the concert itself, and the fact that you have to buy me a beer, so that's about 37EUR. Then you'll have to sleep over somewhere, which will cost you (Ghent has nice bridges though) another 30EUR or so.

    So, yeah, quite some money. Perhaps when there's more people joining, and we can have a bigger gathering. Or in London once...

    Perhaps it can help that this is the first concert in a tour their doing. Not sure if that'll include Australia though. smile
