    Tickets for WSA are available.

55 or 75 EUR. Including reception with composers and guests. punk

I'm happy they do it this way. 55 is much more reasonable. smile

    Well done after all!

  3. Yes indeed, 55 euros is still somewhat acceptable

    Anyway, for confirmation

I've already ordered 5 tickets (Bob, Bregt, Mario, Gilles en myself)
To the others, now is the time to act wink

    Ghent festival announces Badalamenti CD

The Ghent Film Festival has announced a new CD in their ‘For the Record’ series. Following their compilation albums focusing on Craig Armstrong and Mychael Danna is an Angelo Badalamenti CD, with music performed by the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Dirk Brossé. Badalamenti received last year’s World Soundtrack Lifetime Achievement Award during the 8th edition of the World Soundtrack Awards in Ghent.

considering the nice moments we heard during all those concerts, I'm sure they will be pretty decent to good
but I can't comment on the actual CD's

Well, i don't doubt that, but it's also the matter of proper sound engineering and hall acoustics transferred on the CD and stuff like that...

indeed, but if I'm not mistaken, these aren't the concert performances, but actual recorded pieces without the people, meaning like they record scores, so in case of audience interference there's none

The Fenton/Delerue cd is a recording of he concert, but very well done. Remember that also Wings of a Film was a live recording o the actual concert in Ghent.

The pieces 'For the Record' series are mostly rerecorded pieces from the concerts, performed by one of our best orchestras. Some pices are live recordings from the actual concert (I think only the Danna cd has them, mainly The Ice Storm suite).

I'l let you know when I have them somewhere mid October. smile

I'd be interested in those cds (Danna, Armstrong, Badalamenti) if you'd consider them to be good buys. So when you folks get your hands on them do let us know. Perhaps you can order on my behalf and I'll paypal you.
