I'm working as always.
Yay for me.
Have to read 5 chapters of history tonight.
Must prepare for writing my essay's tomorrow.
What are you writing on, Gt?
I have to write about the progressive era, the industrial revolution, the expansion of segregation in the south, the start of urban cities in America... ya know. Fun stuff.
Not any film scripts or anything fun.

I passed Saturday night with my 2 sisters and a friendly couple, my mate who's studying for a master's degree in composition in California and his lovely wife, a pshychologist. We went out and enjoyed good food at my father's village, in the mountains with excellent breeze and beautiful view! Talked a lot, :drunk: a bit and had a wonderful time overall!
Sunday found me and my family at a.....erm, family wedding. Great reunion with cousins and all and as always with this kind of greek / cypriot events, lots of food and dance.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Entered the pop quiz ( it's held at a continental style wine bar ) last night which we WON!!!
One entire round was a James Bond Covers audio round, 10 Bond tracks, the quiz master wanted the answer to both the artist performing and who did the original for a total of 20 points.
Here's the answers
What was played is highlighted in blue.
James Bond Theme - Moby - Monty Norman
On Her Majesty's Secret Service - David Arnold & Propellerheads - John Barry
Live And Let Die - Chrissie Hynde - Paul McCartney & Wings
Nobody Does It Better ( from The Spy Who Loved Me ) - Radiohead - Carly Simon
We Have All The Time In The World - Fun Lovin Criminals - Louis Armstrong
Thunderball - Martin Fry ( of ABC ) - Tom Jones
You Only Live Twice - Coldplay - Nancy Sinatra
Diamonds Are Forever - The Arctic Monkeys - Shirley Bassey
Goldfinger - The Ventures - Shirley Bassey
All Time High ( from Octopussy ) - Jarvis Cocker - Rita Coolidge
As soon as this round was announced my friend Sol passed the score sheet to me and said 'we're not needed now'
This turned out to be not quite true as I didn't know Radiohead had done a cover, anyway, we got a full 20 points

No big surprise.
Radiohead did Nobody Does It Better? God, that must have been dismal.

I'd never heard it before and it sounded awful, it took me a few seconds to realise what song it was.

Ah; they have some really touching songs and nice melodies, especially their magnificent OK COMPUTER album, it's a real treat; but i can understand how someone could find them depressing.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Gentse Feesten was excellent this year. Not too much Duvel, due to the complete overflow of people at that beer tent. But we had many other beers. We also found a Scottish pub right at St Bavo, and tried the several beers there, many of which 3 gives you the feeling of having 15 lagers. We went to all kind of concerts with lots of types of different music (in fact, each square has its specific focus on a type of music): from electro in Vooruit, to the older classics at a BoomBal.
One night, we had to sleep with 9 people in a room that was about the size of a small living room (student room). Crazy!
It was a bit of a holiday.

Sounds absolutely...er...well...ghastly.
But then you're young and wild, and I am old and sophisticated, and obviously prefer a port 'n' cheese tent and a four poster bed these days.
(Actually, come to think of it, I prefered those when I was 25 as well!)'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

Well, I wanted to have an evening with only wine, but without much success. I should've ended up by drinking the bottle alone.
Is 'jenever' a valid substitute? I had ... some ... of that.Kazoo -

De Gentse Feesten were fun enough, but I'm glad they are over, now I can finally place my car again in my street

Oh right! Very much, especially O'Horton. Lovely, twinkly score with a charming main theme. The train sequence/main title sequence is so adorably cool, that I visited the composer's site a few times to hear that piece alone (next to the rest of the score obviously). Can you PM me with the details in how I can pay etc?Kazoo -
