    Having taken things very mildly this weekend I'm hopeful of better results in the pool contest tonight, surely I can't be walking the void for yet another week....can I?? spin

    I think I am suffering a loss of confidence at the moment but I have had a few practice sessions this week and have been playing good including dishing my mate from the break ( 'dishing' = clean up from the break, meaning your opponent doesn't get a single shot ) cool

    Still, playing for money can make you far more cautious with your shots.

    Somebody did that to me once. As it happens, that was also the only time I've ever played for money.

    Played pool for hours and hours in France last week. Very weird table (the pockets were really "square" and barely wider than a ball, so potting from any sort of angle was very hard).

    I didn't win but I came second to a worthy adversary, a good player who'd never won it before despite having far more attempts than I have. Every dog has their day as they say wink
