    Time for another safari pic.

This one's a terrible photo (it was just too dark, really) but it's from probably the most incredible half-hour show I've ever seen. A huge pride of lions at play. Shortly after this, the lionesses were teaching their cubs how to hunt, as they both chased after a buffalo (which was huge). They didn't manage to kill it, but it was amazing to see.

I actually like dark "graininess" of the photo....kinda gives it an almost animated feel.

That safari (those safaris?) of yours just keep getting more and more impressive.
    I am extremely serious.

Yes, those are fabulous scenes and pictures. How did the travel take place through these parcs? Is it waiting until something appears or driving around ...?

Driving around looking for things. (The scenery is so beautiful, driving around is just fine.) We rarely went more than a few minutes without seeing something - our truck was one of five making the same trip, and the five of us went off in different directions, but the drivers kept in contact with each other so they could tell the others to come along when anything interesting was seen (such as the leopard in the tree).

I did the pool shot for effect. It still has a lot of water in it from the last rain.

If you remember the previous picture which was a dusting of snow this one is the real thing. It is that sticky stuff which is on most everything.

You should chuck something big into the lake and see how loud a sound it can make. Trust me, it's fun. I've thrown a huge log into a frozen lake before..that was loud! wink

Time for me to show some pictures from my trips too.

This is from Barcelona, in Barrí Gothic, the Old City of Barcelona. Cosy squares, small alleys, churches, huge cathedral, fantastic eating places, ... We 'travelled' through this region by just taking a right, then the next corner to the left, and then again to the right, and that brought us to some nice squares, like this one.

Have you been to Canada, Anthony?

Just did a research and there is a Banff in Scotland too. very different from the one in Alberta, Canada.

the lake Louise near banff is such a beauty too. Crystal clear.

Yes they do Tom. I heard them yesterday. here's a map to see where they go. It looks like Louisiana is the place.

We seem to be getting a mixture of snow and rain but a lot of it. Right now it is rain which melts the snow. The ducks are still here.
