    Ah yes, I too can vouch for Space & Beyond II. One of my very first film score albums! (Partially responsible for my unhealthy obsession today.)

    These compilation albums have a lot to answer for!!

    One of the compilation albums that got me interested in film music was "Geoff Love & His Orchestra: Big Terror Movie Themes" (http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR89676).

  5. I was thrilled and amazed when dropping off some donations at The Salvation Army. I took a peak at what they had in the store just for fun. And you'll never guess what I found for $2 amongst the random CD pile. The 13th Warrior by Jerry Goldsmith, a score that I have wanted forever (well since I saw the film in the theater many years ago). It's in perfect condition, plays perfectly, I'm overjoyed.

    That is an excellent score with a fantastic main theme!

    * Torchwood - Ben Foster
    * Doctor Who Season Four - Murray Gold
    * Le Cinéma De Georges Delerue
    (CD box)

    Listening to the latter now. A lot of material I already have, unfortunately, but there's enough unknown and lesser known material I am less familiar with to keep my interest up. And as a compilation it's damn hard to beat!

    6 all in all. At about 50 Euros it's pretty good value for money.

    Got a shipping notice from MovieMusic indicating my earlier order shipped yesterday. Happy as a clam -- and both Until September and B:tAS will be the newest reviews on my blog.

    Well, I'm still disappointed it is "merely" a compilation rather than some highly anticipated full releases, as many of the tracks I already have on other compilation albums.
    However there's still more than enough new and rare material made available that the purchase was warranted as soon as I had a little financial leeway.

    Where did you purchase it from?

    Amazon France.

    That's right! I got a deal on it that included Sarde's Quest For Fire which came to about 47 euros.
