I think I am the only person in the world who thinks Speed Racer is a fun, enjoyable, pleasant, and entirely GOOD film.
I ain't seen it but I'm sure you'd recommend that I should!?
....and I won't!

A Private Function - a great little film written by Alan Bennett, with the wonderful Michael Palin giving the kind of performance that makes me wonder why on earth he's only ever acted in a handful of films. It's a social comedy set in northern England after the end of the second world war, with an exceptional cast of British actors - Maggie Smith, Denholm Elliot, Pete Postlethwaite, Jim Carter, Liz Smith. Very funny indeed. -

We´re currently rewatching the whole Doctor Who / Torchwood / Sarah Jane thing with our daughter. Having just seen the 2nd season TW episode "Meat" I must say that it has the probably most realistic fight between a couple in it, I mean, ever. It´s absolutely astonishing how the actors make you stop breathing and watching what would really happen if you tell your fiancee that you work for a secret agency and hunt aliens by profession. Bloody Hell, I´ve never seen such a realistic outbreak of emotions. It is totally believable, and the camera work in that scene is spectacular. This is as good as TV will ever get. Seriously. -

Yeah, I heared Torchwood picked up considerably in season 2.
I dropped out about halfway through season 1, as I diodn't think any of it was believable (even within its own universe), the characters weren't particularly interesting, and the writing was just terrible with completely linear (read 'boring') plot lines.
I may try giving season 2 a go as a "reboot".

I don´t think that a lot has changed, although there is a plot line later introduced in Season 2 that was extraordinarily well done, but really challenging to watch, because it was like, watching something really terrible happen over the course of several episodes, but you can´t look away because it´s so fascinating. Quite creepy. -

Vantage Point
The director was not smart enough to put all the pieces of this movie together, but it's an entertaining one and with the final scene pretty cool.
SPOILER
why one of the key's of the movie and One of the most famous faces in the actual television doesn't have his own "point of view"????
What a weird thing. Mathew Fox character is the surprise of the movie and it's the only one without his "point of view"
Anwayay, I love Jack talking Spanish
-----------------------------------------------
About the music...Decent enought. It could be Harry Gregson Williams composing for a Tony Scott movie ( See Man on fire ) -

Quite frankly, the plot twist involving him was the best thing about that movie. I didn't see it coming as I'm so used to seeing him as good ol' Jack. -

Wanted
Entertaining, very entertaining action flick, with this kinda "do you think this was the last stunt possible? Don´t leave, there´s far more" action set pieces. And nice to see James McAvoy playing such a different character after "Atonement". Oh, Danny Elfman´s music is really good. Actually, it´s very good.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

I missed this at the cinema but have the DVD on pre-order and I was hoping that it was good.

Well it is good if you like this kind of action (you know, more CGI generated than directed) AND you like the style of this director. So you are warned
Anyway Elfman´s score is brilliant.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Pretty spectacular and a fun ride overall. I have to admit that as much as I would have loved to see Debney scoring it, Djawadi´s score is cool in the movie.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Iron Man has some spectacular fight sequences, at least I enjoyed them
Jolie´s face looks like a skull in Wanted; seriously Angelina, eat more protein and carbohydrate.
And Djawadi´s score is cool IN the movie, totally unbearable as a listening experience.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Angeline Jolie has some health problems, She was diagnosticate with some kind of ....I don't know the name. Seriously.
Wich sequences from Iron Man are spectacular??? Because I think it looked like a TV movie. Luckly Robert Downey Jr was in there-
Djwadi's score....I could have been scored the first flying test much better than him with my Piano Yamaha
Beneath planet of the Apes
annoying start, pretty entertaining end.I don't know if this sequel was a hit or not..Im curious about that.
Im going to see Escape with Golddsmith's score.... -

Black Rain
I use to remember this movie was bad. And the reviews in rotten tomatoes says is very, very bad.
But for some reason I didn't find at bad at all! Scott did much worst movies after that one.
In fact, I think it's cool and Zimmer score fits like a globe!
