[Closed] What's annoying you currently? II

I've never had my iTunes library disappear in the 2-3 years that I have been using it. Now I am worried!

Can iTunes back-up your library and is this file just the location of all your music files of the library?

Never happened to me?

But insanely redundancy-minded that I am, there's two back-ups running all the time, so I'm not really worried.

What the hell. I just opened the backupped library with itunes, and it's still empty...

What's going on?

For some reason I had to hold down the Shift key while starting itunes to choose another library. I guess they didn't want to make it too intuitively easy by placing the option to change library in the File menu, or by opening the library file that one doubleclicks on.

Anyway, my latest update turned out to be from the 18/12. I dread to think of all the work I've done since then which has now been lost. I guess one has to backup weekly. *sigh* Bloody ridiculous.

Yep. Same on PC. That's how I do it.
Little batchfile that copies the folder to a network folder every time I log on.

Thor, sorry, should have provided more info. Yes, Jane is my gf that I have a long-distance relationship with; she lives in London and I in Copenhagen. The Guardian had an interview with her a while ago. As you can see most of what she says is reasonable stuff, but the first sentence is fabricated. It's something the journalist added, perhaps to make it sound more juicy or perhaps it's a weird mistake. It makes her sound greedy and heartless, when the reality is that she never thought remotely like that or said anything like that, and both her and her husband wanted a fair divorce and to remain friends afterwards.

It's must be a strange thing to suddenly be portrayed like that in a national newspaper, especially when it's made up. Today she has been in contact with her ex and she plans to contact many of her friends and family explaining that she hadn't made that remark. A truly bizarre ordeal.

I just cut my right thumb while doing the dishes.

Strangely it did not hurt at all but bled like hell. I needed two plasters to stop the bleeding. Those now are a nuisance with the typing.

That's annoying.

I usually justify not doing something I should by telling me that if I REALLY wanted to do something about it then I would.

Windows Media Player works just fine for me. I know others hate it, but so it is.

Previous Prime Minister dies. At the time of her office she divided the country with lots of people hating her.

Now she is dead lots of people buying the Wizard of Oz song "Ding Song (The Wicked Witch Is Dead)". Apparently, this has caused a dilemma for the BBC (to whom everyone who has a TV pays a fee). In order to get in the record charts today so few numbers need to be sold compared to the time when people bought singles, that this song will be in the Top Ten this weekend.

Should the BBC play it? In the great tradition of the BBC their decision has been the most unsatisfactory to the most people. They have reached a "compromise" - they will not play the 51-second song in the actual chart but will play a 5-second clip (probably the total time where the words wicked, witch and dead aren't featured) during the news during the chart show.

For goodness sake, just play the track and stop being such a risk-averse outfil. Talk about fanning the flames.

BTW, in an online newspaper poll, 90% people voted to play the song.

Just PLAY IT!
