I'm sure we're going to get a descent explanation of the hieroglyphs, the Others, the statue, the temple and Jacob at some point...
What if Jacob is... Jacob?!

It's not a rumour or spoiler or anything... I'm just wondering... The producers did say before that names in Lost matter. So, I was just making a wild guess and wondering if this IS Jacob... -

I've re-watched s5e12. I gotta say that it's a very clever, well-built and exciting episode; definitely one of LOST's greater episodes. Can't wait for the next one!Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Episode 5x13 "Some like it hoth"
Another good episode I thought!
Of course, who didn't see Miles' storyline coming. It was almost certain he was the son of Pierre Chang. I did expect him though to be more surprised when he realised who he was and that the island he came to work at, was the one he was born and raised.
His conversations with Hurley continue to be informative and entertaining! Hurley comes across as the most clever, kind and insightful person lately!
I wish I could say the same about Kate - and Jack - who seem to become more stupid by the episode! Kate was the master in lying and now she can't control herself! Jack tried to patch things up but I think he only made Roger suspicious of him too. Also, why didn't Roger inform Horace and the others of Ben's disappearance?
Juliet remains as cold as ever! No emotions whatsoever!
But the biggest, newest mystery of all: Who on earth does Bram (And Illana) work for? They don't work for Ben and they don't work for Widmore we now know. Are they Dharma then? Or are they original inhabitants? Which would explain why they ask "What lies in the shadow of the statue".
Things are certainly not looking good. We got the Widmore team on one side and the Ben team on the other. We got the Hostiles - some of which team up with Ben, others I assume will follow Richard and Locke. We got this new group - probably Dharma or another group. And we got the Losties stuck in the middle. Oh boy... -

And we have Faraday arriving in the sub when he was already on the island, wasn´t him?
Although I remember a few episodes back somebody asking "is Faraday here?" and Sawyer answering "well, kinda"....or something like that.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

They had said that Daniel was not there anymore... It was clear that Dan had left the island. He probably left as he couldn't see Charlotte around.
As to what he did off the island: My guess? He built the "Lamppost"...

5.12 was the most normal (and therefore best) episode this season. The score was perfect - The Swan motif returns! - (I'm wondering if Giacchino had finally got passed the stress that was Star Trek around this point in the season), and Hurley writing Empire was hilarious.
And the numbers simply being a serial number on the hatch door. That's all I needed to know. I never need to hear about them again now. Clear up why they were looping on the radio message and they're all done with I think..
I'm going to have to stop the four trombones until the season is over and then go through it again as I can't enjoy (or even take in) episodes if all I'm doing is listening out for new themes. Hope this is ok with everyone though.

It's all coming together now!!
Does anyone remember this comic con video from last year?
The voice clearly is Faraday who's going to tell Chang about the "present" (future), we now know the baby is also Miles, Chang also calls out to LaFleur at the end.
Also the previous video with the time traveling bunny in, Chang freaked out when the same bunny appeared twice. I wonder if this is something related to the "incident" and Miles meeting baby Miles is going to screw things up. -

The Numbers are a lot more than just a serial number on the hatch door. They were explained in the Lost Experience, the alternate reality game. I believe this to be the official explanation of the numbers. I don't know if the Lost writers assume at this point that they have explained them, but this explanation is certainly out there. Hang on, when did this thread turn into a "who GreekfoX is" and "what GreekfoX likes" thread?! :p
Although I do like the occasional attentional ("pswnio" as one would say in Greek :p) here are my current comments:
- I do consider music to be an important piece of any film / tv show, just like all the other components, eg. acting, costumes, setting, dialogues, plot etc. However, I do not follow the pieces religiously on every episode. If I like it, then I simply like it. It adds extra points to the show.
- Jack is Locke's father? Are you friggin' kidding me? Could this theory BE any more pointless?!
- Locke is the island: Yes, I have noticed recently that Locke is growing some trees on his head. In fact, it is true that everything takes place ON Locke's bald head and we are just looking at the people on the island as if looking down a microscope. If you zoom out, you will see the top of Locke's head...
- Is someone going to take a leap of faith and comment on the ongoing theories? I proposed a few posts back that Daniel is in fact the one who builds the Lamp Post. Anyone has to say anything on that?
- And a new theory: Remember the Dharma video with the bunnies, when Dr Chang was screaming his lungs out not to let them get close to each other? Could it be that soon enough Miles gets in contact with baby Miles and something wrong happens?
- New Theory 2: What if Richard is dead? He is the only person shown so far to not age. What sort of people do not age? The dead people. The only difference is that everyone can actually SEE Richard, in contrast to the other dead people like Boone, Ana-Lucia and Charlie, which only Locke, Hurley and a few others can see on occasions. What if the island has selected that Richard is visible to everyone? And to extend on that, what if the same thing happens to Locke too? ie. in a way he is still dead, but he is not (if this makes any sense). Also, remember Harper? Goodwin's wife that appeared to Juliet in "The Other Woman"? My bet is that she is dead too. Her appearance/disappearance was too random and sudden, resembling the appearances of other dead people, such as Charlie's or Ana-Lucia's...
- Anyone read the link on the Numbers btw? -

Or Jack... Their names are quite similar and the producers had said in the past that names are important in the show.
Or Horace. After all, it was Horace who built the cabin.
Or Ben's father... In the Old Testament, Jacob had 12 sons. The future 12 tribes of Israel. Benjamin was the youngest one.
Or is Jacob himself. I mean the guy from the Old testament. "God loves you as he loved Jacob".
Or Kate... She had a sex-change after being romantically involved with every guy on and off the island. She then decided to become a man, when she fell for Juliet. Juliet rejected her with yet another one of her expressionless looks. Kate, now known as Jacob, got insulted and became a spirit to be taunted for eternity. -

I´d love to know why did he built a cabin in the middle of the woods, what was its purpose and what happened there (if something happened). There has to be a reason why Cabin Christian (and Claire) are staying there.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Absolutely cool D, I just wondered is all? I have and never will have any problem with good people like GreekFox joining in on non-film music discussions

Anyway, I'm outta here and don't expect me back any time soon....you could say I'm getting LOST!

Didn't he say he had built it for his wife or something..? It's a very curious case though, since the Dharma where afraid of the Others. So why would Horace go out in the jungle and built a cabin for his wife? Was it for protection? For leisure? And when did the cabin assume magical powers? Was it after Jacob moved in!?
