    lost best premiere ever!

    God, it's a fast episode, but it still has the musical moments that we have lost (ehehe) in the last season.

    Almost every piece of the puzzle is used in this episode. AMAZING!

    I'll wait until the last week of the season and then have one big Lost marathon... saves the frustration of waiting a week for the next episode after a huge cliffhanger. (Which is what I've been doing since season 2. It's more enjoyable that way, IMO.)

    There's a scene where "oceanic 815" theme from the first season and "there's no place like home" from the fourth season "lives together" (ehehe) . it's a scene you can guess if you know a little bit how this season beggins.

    leaving this great moment aside, you can hear almost every the theme from the previous seasons and one new motif for some new "people".

    PS:I only can blame ABC to not make the budget bigger. This first Shoot before LOST intro...

    It depends on what you favour in TV shows. I think the premise of the show is very alluring, it's pure escapism and there's a lot that I love about it too - but I wouldn't call it the greatest TV show ever. Certainly one of the better ones in recent years, though. (It can get very silly at times, but I can forgive it purely because of its premise.)

    smile Give it up guys. The work they put in this series, in all aspects, is phenomenal and incomparable with anything else. I am not saying there's not other good works in the tv field; Lost is one of those, few ones, that are on the next level.

    It was ok...but it still felt all over the place like season five.

    I'm just in a "huh...ok" mood now. Not "wow! omg!".

    I think it was much more intense and focused than anything in season 5. Plus, the excitement and build up all this time helped wink But indeed, we saw constant action, things happening and others explained, which isn't always the standard for the show, esp. as it was shown in the fifth season.

    [spoiler]What is certain is that the bomb didn't change anything for the scenes in the plane. Everything that happened before the turbulence was different from the original scenes. For example, I remember Jack told Rose that "turbulence is normal" instead of Rose telling it to him. Also, didn't the hostess gave Jack more than one bottle in the first season? Desmond couldn't be on the plane, and the sister of I forgot his name wasn't on it.

    So this can only mean an alternate dimension, which sucks, and just distracts from the original storyline on the island. But I almost can't believe they'd do that.    [/spoiler]

    [spoiler]]Yeah, a flash-sideways is pretty poor..and too obvious. And I don't want the season 5 island plotline to continue. And the Temple...is this?! *Sigh* All the 815/LA stuff was much better.[/spoiler]

    I'm certainly not doubting that it's a fine TV show. But there are flaws (the writing, for example). This just happens to appeal to you more than any other show, evidently.

    I watch the same show and I just don't think it's as phenomenal as you think it is. IMO. (I still enjoy it though, Enjoy it a lot.)

    It used to be great. But now it's got a big head. And it's trying to do to much and coming across as silly.

    I agree. I still like it, I'm still addicted to it. And I can actually forgive it for its shortcomings, because the premise (mysterious island with attractive people) still appeals to me. But it's not perfect, and it's certainly not as good as the first season... which is still my favourite season.

    The sci-fi stuff ruined it for me. Season 4 was almost flawless imo, but as soon as they started the heavy emphasis on time travel it got bad. Really bad. This first ep felt like it was picking up the pieces...hopefully to build itself up again.

    I'm not saying it shouldn't evolve and change, but this isn't anything like what I really watch Lost for.

    Nobody's perfect. For TV, this is TV at its best, imo.

    No it isn't. Not by a long way. ( except IYO of course wink ) Expensive entertaining ( only just ) nonsense TV is what it is.
