Actually, the final race cue is Mark Mancina's.

Is this info from Mark himself?

Hybrid Soldier claims it isn't. I'm thoroughly confused considering you two are pretty much the go-to guys for Hans Zimmer-related insider info... dizzy

mark mancina said in an interview, that he only worked on the song. i think he meant The Last Note Of Freedom. mancina was introduced to hans by trevor horn. also trevor rabin played guitar on a couple of tracks. he said that in an interview in 1998.

    NP: Star Wars

    It's been a while.
Sometimes I need reminding why I got into this whole musical niche thing.

Polydor? (Erik likes the original mix a lot.)
Fox / Arista? (This is the incarnation that I give loving listens to.)
    Sony?

Owning all of these, it's a bit of a hybrid, with what I consider the best of what is available.
That said, my Star Wars soundtrack playlists are 95% from the 1993 Arista Anthology.

  6. NP: Elemental (H Scott Salinas & Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee)

I have no idea what the film is. This is one of those scores I only stumbled across because of 'people who bought this also bought...' suggestions through iTunes. However I have a lot of time for this music. smile

First listen. I'm not very far in, but nothing I've heard so far seems more or less than adequate.

There are details I hadn't noticed before. There's some tracks I wouldn't miss but on the whole I'm pleased and happy I bought this new release.
