No fails; we're simply discussing End-point in which we all agree i am sure, is that this man has surely changed and influenced the film music of the last 20 years (at least its american portion) at a very large degree; this is why many hate him too, obviously.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Well, I believe Pawel did say that Zimmer or his associates were deliberately refusing to say much about the score in the months leading up til now...
Yes and one of the reasons why they asked Hemsey for the third trailer music was "we didn't want to give away all themes". Asked about Inception, he told me just "It's going well" and nothing else, because they "liked the secrecy"http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

There's really not much to give away with just a 1-note motif, now, is it?Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

I think with a larger orchestra, specially in the string section this score could have been way better.
I love the guitar sounding mixed with this kind of sampled saxo from blade runner. -

I'm the guy who can judge a score for 30 seconds clips.
Old souls, Dream within a dream, Waiting for a train and Time are AMAZING.
the rest is generic and with this crappy synthetic brass from the dark knight. -

NP:Angels & Demons (Zimmer)
While i'm waiting for the official Inception soundtrack I will play this synthetic score too.
This score has become one of my favourites from Zimmer. It contains the cool Broken arrow energy and the sublime Da Vinco Code themes. it's pure fun, without having to be in the intelectual mood that you have to be with Da Vinci Code music.
I just love the soundscape he created for this movie.
"God Particle" is a fantastic introduction. -

It's hard to read sarcasm from Jordi.
Still on my first listen of Inception. Atmospheric, dreamy, nostalgic, and yes, a bit Vangelis at time with its athematic synth work. It's not as actiony as I thought it would be, given that Nolan has said that he wanted to make a heist movie with James Bond elements... I'll have to give it this a couple more spins before making my decision regarding this score. -

Then again Bond scores, especially the classic ones, have notoriously had a fairly small amount of action material. High ratios of fast-paced action is rare for any Barry score.''The mandate, as well as the benefit, of responsibility is the ability to tell when one can afford to be irresponsible.'' - Me -

It's not ironic, it's a bad way to judge.
By the way, did you notice some elements from Frost/nixon in Inception? -

I don't know if it fits well with the rest of the score, but i like it too. I like this MI2 guitars effect, and when the brass appears is something really powerful and dramatic. -

No, Jordi is right, it's definitely 'A Night At The Opera'. But on the other hand, the flavour of that piece is very Barry like.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -
