I'd say yes to JFK but not to Nixon. Nixon is stunning and plays extremely well on CD.

Indeed Erik. I've always thought it was an underrated gem amongst Williams fans.

    YEAH!!

    Fingers crossed!

I hope to see Williams return to the franchise he started to make great
and if not, use James Hannigan, because his Potter video game music is more Potter in tone than Hooper's

I doubt it'll happen but it'd be great for Hannigan to score the films. But I'll be more than delighted with Williams!

In that case, I am not disturbed by your lack of faith.

]Again, I take a more Robert Webb-like approach. I love Robert Webb.

Even Amistad and Saving Private Ryan are also good scores. Even though it doesn't have to do anything with genre.

Nicholas Hooper said in an interview that he won't return for DH because the films put a great strain on his family life, and indirectly hinted he wishes John Williams to come back - http://jwfan.com/forums/index.php?showt … ntry587597

Erik was slightly sarcastic, as the better part of the Star Wars prequels consisted of computer animation. wink

    Nope.
It's only availble on the bootleg.

Ah yes, Williams' tried and tested effort at mickeymousing. I always loved that scene.

Conrad Pope apparently stated on Facebook that he's already started orchestrating Williams' Tintin score, along with Silvestri's Christmas Carol and Desplat's Tree Of Life.

Ideally Williams should have enough of a free slot in his schedule for Deathly Hallows then!

  6. How nice of Hooper to suddenly wish for more time with his family. This is easiest the biggest bucket of PR guano I´ve seen recently.

Well, whatever, the screams of the filmmusic community have been heard, so we´ll get one, maybe two more scores from the master himself.

Allow me to express my pure joy; I hope he finds himself in PoA mood again for the subtile and quiet scenes, but the big action sequences definitely need the epic Williams of old days, not the chaotic, noisy one of recent years.
