(southall is righ, thought. Very repetitive.)

    NP: United 93

50 % of his scores in the last 2 years. For be a true fan you must like at least the 75 % tongue

    NP:Horton Hears a Who

After to watch the movie I really notice much better the musical ideas.

    Fantastic score!

I wonder if This " uuuu aaaa uuuu aaa" vocals from Mountain Chase ripped directly from Zimmer's Toys are done with purpose...

It's weird, since I've become a ''big'' fan, nothing has come close to his older work (Horton is now the closest). Nostalgia possibly? confused

I'm not a big fan but Bourne Supremacy is far and away his best IMO, I play it very regularly.

That's what happen when a composer starts so strong in the film music world.Being so perfect technically speaking...

The opossite happens with Zimmer, who grow up with the years.

NP:Pirates Of Caribbean: At World's End.

Thanks to Lord Becket Suite you can notice better Becket's theme in "singapore", "parlay" and the dramatic Statement in "I don't think now is the best time".

Lord Beckett's theme is so easy for Zimmer...the typical Zimmer march. But it's logical, the character is very militaristic and the Harp has this Civilizated feeling.

Fortunately for us (and for him). Actually, there are veeery few of his older scores I can listen right now. The last time I tried with "Black Rain" or "Beyond Rangoon", not to mention "Drop Zone" ( vomit ), it was a torture.

    I enjoy Beyond Rangoon cool

NP : STAR TREK THE ASTRAL SYMPHONY - Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, Leonard Rosenman

Bit of a misleading title as it's a compilation of original soundtracks but there's not a bum track to be had on this album.

NP: Horton Hears A Who! - John Powell

Just started this literally 3 minutes ago.... and what an opening bunch of tracks! Powell is easily the God of former MV/RC composers... move over Zimmer, the new king has arrived! Wow! This is a lot of fun. Very much looking forward to the rest of it! And I ADORE Shawn Murphy's recording. Please for the love of God I hope Kingdom of the Crystal Skull sounds this good!

Is Murphy recording the Williams score Erik?

NP : PLATOON - Georges Delerue

An excellent score to a film that IMO did not need Barber's Adagio. Delerue delivered exactly what temp track obsessed Stone should have used.

Most likely! If not, then I pray to God Simon Rhodes isn't his replacement.

Pleasant and quite touching with nice string writing but the Braveheart rips are just plain annoying.
