I'm thinking it may be the high blood pressure being the cause rather than the effect.
Well, back in two weeks at the doc's for a second reading.
In the meantime I'll try and take it easy at the gym.
(and I was so pleased I'd finally started again too

My carefully mismanaged reputation notwithstanding I'm actually quite moderate.
Thanks, Steven.

I hear 'blood pressure', I think 'alcohol'. Though isn't wine actually good for your blood pressure? A glass a night or something? -

Already been; hence the need for a second reading: apparently they never base a diagnosis on just one reading as blood pressure fluctuates so much. That said I'm quite sure it'll still be high in 10 days time, as I several (non-medical) measurements also born that out.
I'm not speculating at this point.
But I *am* annoyed!

Me!
What's going ON?!?
Loads of things going awry: there's this persistent shrill peep in my head (oddly not my ears it seems. Well of course it IS my ears, but it sounds mono), my muscles are playing up, my head hurts, and now it appears my blood pressure is through the roof! Seems like little pieces of me start failing consecutively!
Can't believe it's just age.
Where can I apply for a body transplant?
Martijn dear, first of all relax.High blood pressure most of the times in young ages comes form stress. So,breathe, take a break from whatever pushes you and follow your doctor's advice. And take care of yourself. If I learn you don't do it you''ll make me shout and right now it really hurts!Whatever you gaze rests on,do not use your vision, but the eyes of your soul...She knows better... -

As you know Martijn high blood pressure caused my stroke (220-120). Today it is 130-60. What have I done that you could do? The blood pressure medication, giving up red meat, watching my salt intake, and lowering my cholesterol (130). If you can afford it purchase a at home BP machine and take your pressure everyday AT THE SAME TIME and check it at the doctor's office to make sure it is reasonably accurate.
A glass of grape juice has the same benefit wine has to your body less the alchohol. You don't need alcohol to survive.

tomorrow my brother's gonna help me in rebooting the entire drive, not of course before copying some 200 albums to the other drive to make sure these aren't lost

I don't know what to do...I've finished watching Lost, and the 24 prequel was a one-night-only thing. Now there is officially nothing until January.
I have the first season of Alias I suppose, but I started watching that a while ago and really found it hard to get into.
What do I do?!
