What kind of phone?
A Nokia E71.
It's the one phone I found that seems to meet my eclectic needs (must-have: QWERTY keyboard; GPS. must-NOT-have: Windows Mobile OS; insane emphasis on camera or multimedia shit).

Well, it's not as spectacular as all that.
The thing is that the hiking trails in the middle of the island (through what is described as the only Mediterranean Damp Jungle in the world) aren't very clearly marked, and as I am very headstrong and loathe to run into more organized German nordic walking sticks, I decided to go off on my own and turned right where everyone turned left.
When it started to get dark (and there really is NOTHING there in the way of villages or civilization...just an abandoned, eerily Lovecraft-esque communications beacon) and I hadn't found a proper path, I started to get slightly worried. So I did the only thing I remembered from Biggles and other action-adventure novels I read as a boy and made for the highest vantage point.
From there on I located the communications beacon, from where I found the highest top, from where I could find my way back.
Needless to say I got my excercise that day.
Slept like a baby afterwards.
And died of muscle cramps a day later.

In connection with the subscription I took out, it cost me nothing.
The only thing is I'm stuck with it for two years. But that suits me just fine.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

For all the economic complaining I've heard the SD Padres set a record for attendance (45,000+) last night. A family of four would easily spend over $100.00 to go.

Played in the Pop quiz I've mentioned numerous times last night, the first time for many weeks and out of a possible 109 points we ( a team of six ) got 107 points, the best score we've ever had, that's the GOOD news
The BAD news is WE GOT BEAT!!!? Another team ( also consisting six players, which is the full limit allowed ) got a full house, a full 109 points
Apparantly the first time that had ever been done since the pop quiz has been running which I've heard is about 10 years.
Oh well, next time.

We HAVE won the quiz a number of times but it is few and far between.
Where it's held attracts people of all ages but the questions very rarely stray into the 1950's and covers everything from pop to rock to punk to electronica, dance, techno, rap etc etc, sometimes there's been a film music round but it tends to be pop music used in films.
There's always a couple of audio rounds, one time the quiz master played a round of James Bond cover versions and needless to say I got 10/10 on that one with no help

A cheap bastard who decided to fuck me over for 300 more euros.
He was selling a cool sporty Seat Ibiza in great condition (2002 model, 1.400 cc, 101bhp, 3d, metallic silver with alloy rims, abs, a/c and full extras) like this one here for 5.300 euros but we agreed for 5.000 euros 'cause that's the maximum i can go. I had arranged an appointment with him today to go visit a mechanic friend of mine and if he said the final ok, we'd instantly go and start the process of buying it and having it registered to my name. I had everything arranged after 5-day talks and we were in agreement, just to screw me over the phone half an hour before the scheduled appointment whilst i was out on the roads waiting for im to pick me up and go to the mechanic, just 'cause someone else went there and bought it for 5.300 euros. He didn't even call to ask me before the final agreement with the other buyer, if he insisted i'd probably work extra to pay him the goddamn 300 euros or even more, if that amount of money was so important to him, something he didn't even hint before when we both agreed instantly on 5000; he gave me the impression that those 300 euros weren't specially needed by him he was perfectly fine with 5000 so i went ahead and arranged stuff.
Cheap bastards. Hate them and i am very pissed 'cause i really wanted that car. The rest of the similar models of the same car with the same condition and extras are over 6.000 here in Thessaloniki.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Sorry to hear that, the price was really good (even the 5.300€). You´d have had the same car as me!
Anyway, cheer up and start searching this model again if that´s the one you´re looking for!Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

I'm sorry to hear about it hon. I've been through a similar situation when I was lookin for a car last December. It's tiring both mentally and phisically to look for a used car. But you'll see that there are some good cheap cars around and I'm sure you'll find one of them.
