http://moviescoremedia.blogspot.com/200 … -deal.html
I'm very excited about these news: we have finalized our first deal with one of the major Hollywood studios. We are going to release a soundtrack album featuring selections from a superb orchestral science fiction score composed for a popular Warner Bros. television series that aired a couple of years ago. There are just a few details to sort out before we make the official announcement. This will be our fifth release in the Discovery Collection. But I've understood, from what other labels like to do before their albums are announced, that film music fans like to speculate... so let the guessing begin!
Hmmm!!??Kazoo -

Smallville - Mark Snow
Supernatural - Christopher Lennertz/Jay Gruska
I've not seen either TV show so I don't know if the music is orchestral or not.The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

But both those shows are still running, not "a couple of years ago".I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to! -

Damn!
Back to the drawing board.
Does that suggest that the series' were not too successful? Or perhaps that they were mini-series?The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

I WISH it were Smallville, that show has some occasional moments of pure brilliance music-wise. And besides, the score, its the only show were I actually LIKE their musical choices song-wise.I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to! -

I went to IMDb and typed up: Warner Bros. television for a Company search.
Assuming Mikael means the series is no longer making new episodes, on ONE TV series fit the bill:
"Invasion"

John Ehrlich

Folks, those of you who buy my records, would you kindly take a few seconds and cast your vote in a poll I created here: http://moviescoremedia.blogspot.com - jewel cases vs digipaks!
Thanks,

Hmn, good thinking to create a poll on this topic. I must say it does look beautiful but I can't store them the way I store my jewel cases CD's. Meaning I must place them seperately. So my already casted vote went to jewel cases insteadwaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -

I voted for jewel cases. Digipacks look nice, but are unpractical. -
- CommentTimeApr 10th 2008
Since nobody else wants to stand up for them, I'll say I do think digipaks are a lot smarter. It's a shame that nice booklets can't be incorporated, but nevertheless I prefer them. -

Morricone completists can't be without digipacks. -

(though could anyone truly be brave enough to even attempt to be a Morricone completist?) -
- CommentTimeApr 10th 2008
Fortunately, I'm not a Morricone completist... I buy most of my scores from Amazon Marketplace oversea sellers. Most of the digipacks I've gotten from there were seriously damaged. -

Digipacks are cool!
And look good.
Less place for information, but that hasn't been the case with the MSM releases. Always neat detail and notes.Kazoo -

DIGIPACKS ALL THE WAY!
VOTED!Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Digital downloads rule! I only own ONE MSM CD and it came in a jewel case.

I will place my vote the next time I'm using IE (for some reason when I went to cast my vote my request couldn't be processed - wrong browser?)
But I'll be putting my virtual "X" beside digipak. I just think that they look so cool (not true for all digipak releases); the combination of the glossy digipak and the excellent artwork/layout makes for a special product.
It's true that once the digipak has been "soiled" it can't be replaced by a shiny new digipak the same way a jewel case can be replaced when damaged. But, hey, just take more care of them!! ANyway, can't people who don't like the digipak move them to jewel cases and then download and print the artwork from your site? It would be difficult for people who like the digipaks to move from a jewel case.
Mikael, your regular use of digipak helps differentiate your product from the other jewel case-reliant labels. I've seen Smallville a few times ( it's not a bad show but C4 schedule it all over the place ), the scoring that I've noticed is very good.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Lennertz's music is orchestral. I've had the promo for quite sometime now. If I'm not mistaken Lennertz was nominated for an Emmy for his main title theme.
I've never seen Smallville and have never listened to ANY of the music.

No, and we probably won't switch over to jewel cases.

I see now also Farleys Toomey score is almost out of print.
Will there be more printed copies in the future?
And how much is sold via downloads?Kazoo
