I bought myself a new 55" 3D tv. I needed cheering up. (A Samsung UE55D8000, if that means anything to anyone.) It's unbelievably good. The difference in picture quality on Blu-Rays (which I already thought was very good on the previous tv) is amazing. -

55''? Wow.
I just posted in another thread that I came home to see my father had bought a 47'' 3D TV like yours, and we saw MONSTER VS. ALIENS on a 3D bluray yesterday. I was gobsmacked by the quality, as I haven't really watched an entire bluray film before, much less in 3D.
I can now see what all the fuss is about.I am extremely serious. -

What made my day better is that finally my dreadful head cold gave way.
I will be able to celebrate my birthday without sniffling. Yeah...

Just received a message from Alain Mayrand with best wishes for 2012. A nice touch from a composer who composed one of the best scores of 2011; Comforting Skin. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Finally being a PhD student pays off for me since I lost regular scholarship two years ago: Since January 1st I have a 51% reduction on public transport. ALL of it. Until today I had a 50% student reduction for the city ticket. This also means I am saving on train tickets.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

Just had a SST meeting with Dutchbat, his girlfriend and a Norwegian member whose screen name I forgot here in Oslo (nice dinner and drink afterwards). I'm not a very active member there (mostly because the board isn't very active in the first place), but always great to meet fellow film music fans.I am extremely serious. -

Yes, I saw it before, a few years ago when iPhone kicked off. I've always felt they were rather 'constructed' and not really something that could happen in natural SMS conversation.I am extremely serious. -

We were talking about that too. Some seem fake, but most could be true. -
