Amazon suddenly added "Also Available In CD Format" on the Up MP3 download page. My heart racing I clicked it only to find out it links to some Gospel choir album titled "Going Up Yonder" or something.

Hope they correct it soon so other people don't get a massive anticlimactic shock like me.

I was listening to Star Trek's "Enterprising Young Men" while driving the other day.
Great cue! But I got so into the music that I got a $200.00 speeding ticket!
I totally blame Mr. Giacchino!

Ouch.
I recently got fined £60 for speeding (37mph at midnight in a 30 limit on a road which really should have been at least a 40
) and 3 points on my license.
I hope whoever prosecuted me gets swine flu.

Fines should have their own thread.
I recently got fined 100€ and 2 points of my license for speeding (114 km/h on a 80 km/h road)
Funny thing is we were working with a partner following a guy and he (my partner) was also fined just a few seconds before me. They stole us 200€ in less than a minute. Great.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

You speeded.
You got fined.
Interesting how all motorists all across the world find this simple cause-and-effect hugely unjust.

Yeah, but sometimes it's not as black and white as that. I got caught for doing *dum dum dum* 7MPH over the limit at MIDNIGHT in a road that only recently got changed to a 30 from a 40... so excuse me if I feel a little unjustly prosecuted, considering the fine was £60 and 3 points on me license for three years. (Which won't be happening because I'll be doing this course... which is still costing me £72.)
They pick on drivers because they're an easy target. It is ridiculous.
By the way, do you drive? -

I am pro law as well, don't take me wrong, but not when it's trying to ridiculously exploit small insignificant average joes like us whilst bigger crimes and / or offenses remain either unsolved or the apposites wittingly look the other way.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

I do agree that some of the places speed cameras have been installed are ridiculous and designed purely to squeeze more money out of motorists. Amongst many more complaints besides motoring it's no surprise to me that the Police garner such little respect. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

I don't get this. Honestly.
I've been fined numerous times for driving a red light, or defective lights after sundown. (And yes, that was on my bike
).
The reason I was fined is that it's NOT allowed to run a red light.
And you're supposed to have WORKING illumination.
I knew that.
i ignored it.
I got fined.
I wasn't happy about it, but I'm not about to go off in any tangent that suggests how unjust it all is, that "they" are just doing it to squeeze "us" for money, or how about "they" go an catch some thieves instead.
It's no big deal, guys! You infringed on the law. There's a consequence. You're responsible for your own actions.

But you don't get points on your license if you get fined on a bike. As a driver, you do. That's the annoying thing, because it fucks with your insurance policy. The fact that I got prosecuted I have no problem with, I got caught speeding. Fact. It's the punishment that is far too harsh for such a small infringement. 1mph over the limit and you might as well be a murderer.
And big whoop this is the wrong thread. Send me a fine. -

I just love the way Martijn comes swooping in from the moral high ground when all one wants to do is just have a good old rant and be done with it.
