So it's just numbers of viewers and not "opinion" ratings?

What's the deal with the viewers' rating? That thing is only good for trash tv gossiping.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

That´s what ratings are.....viewers and share.

Maybe, but these ratings usually (if not always) determine the fate of a tv show.

I'm always more interested in how GOOD a show is, rather than the number of people watching it. 24 lost five MILLION viewers during season 6 and only 2.5 million of those have come back this season.

Totally agree. I´ve always liked to check the ratings of the tv shows I like though, as much as I like to check the box office regarding movies. Not that I like more or less a tv show / movie depending on a bunch of numbers, but I´ve always been fascinated by those numbers.

Not yet. I am saving them for tonight, for a triple showing featuring the two episodes of "24" and the one of "Lost" lick

I watched them again, and like most of the big hostage situation episodes in previous seasons, what makes them is the tension. It wasn't nearly as good on second viewing as I wasn't shitting myself that Bill or Aaron were going to get killed, but it was still effing good!

Well that´s usual on second viewings, but 7x11 and 7x12 have a tension that I had never felt watching 24. Well done! And it´s only half of the season! I remember Carlos Bernard saying in an interview that the last 6-7 episodes are really great. Can´t wait.

By the way, impressive the introduction of Jon Voight´s character: eating chinese food in the middle of the White House assault.

So many cool quotes as well.

"I can pull this trigger 128 more times before the battery dies."

    "You sir ARE WEAK!"

    "Let's play some darts."

    "What have you done, Bauer?"

After he has eaten the chinese food and told Juma what to do with Taylor´s daughter.

I loved his introduction where all the noodles were just falling out of his mouth. biggrin

I hope Voight's character is over the top. Not like a Bond-villain, but fucked in the head (reference the darts quote).

    7.13 = WORST 24 EVER

Man, this season really doesn't know what it's doing. It's all over the freakin' place and we're back to season 6 levels of stupidity and shoddy writing and workmanship. rolleyes angry

Two awesome episodes of build up and the crisis and main attaker are dead? What the fuck was the point in any of that?! vomit

Oh, *big-ass ep 13 spoiler below*:

Bill's dead? Sorry, I hardly noticed that on how quickly it was over and moved on from. shame

And it was such a totally wasted and pointless death. Yeah, I'll miss him as it's Bill, but I felt absolutely NOTHING due to the way it was shot and how quickly it was over. He pulled a Milo!

I think I'm even angrier about Juma. He had such potential - and they kill him before the first ad break?! They just rendered two of the best episodes completely null.

I agree, I mean it was Buchanan for god's sake, this character deserved a more developed ending, something more elaborated and dramatic, like the epic finales regarding George Mason or Ryan Chapelle (even Curtis Manning´s death had more impact!). I´m really upset about it, Buchanan was one of my favourite characters angry angry cry

Definitely a wasted character. Unless a big surprise comes, I doubt we´ll ever had a scarier villain this season, I mean Jon Voight is fun, but I see him as an office villain, we need a villain in the field, not in an office eating noodles and making jokes! angry

    Likewise. Especially season 5!!

And all of Lost as well (only season 4 is out here, and seasons 3 and 4 in America).

The only thing that worries me about this "six disc set" is the lack of a seventh disc like normal. No extras? confused
