Yeah the back of the ipods / cell phones are usually scratched since day one. I´m afraid even Bauer can´t help with it.

Do you really think the CIP device is destroyed? We only saw it get knocked to the ground (if that) and then Tony picking it up and saying it got owned. Then for the rest of the episode he was acting really suspiciously...

...the same goes for whether Emerson is dead. Hmm...

Well the truth is I hadn´t thought about it, I mean I thought it was a fact that the CIP device had been destroyed.
On the other hand I´ve always thought Tony has an alternate agenda since the beginning.

Rewatching 7x07, when Bill and Jack leave with the Motobos to meet president Taylor, Tony says he is meeting with someone of Emerson´s organisation for some intel we can use, he says; right after, Jack makes him promise that once all has ended he´ll turn himself in....and then a suspicious close up on Tony´s face (and it is not a face of "ok, I´ll turn myself in"). Besides, Tony kept the CIP device but never delivered it. It was just him saying "it´s been destroyed" after the shootout.

You are right Anthony, very, very suspicious.

He literally says (before Jack, Renee and Bill leave to meet with Pt. Taylor: "I´m working on a lead. I got a guy in Emerson´s crew that may have some intel we can use". -> 39:40 mark.

Either he is the mole, so the real villain, or he is working with someone else (Jon Voight?).

    Anyway, TREMENDOUSLY SUSPICIOUS!

Jon Cassar, Joesph Hodges and Joel Surnow have left the show for good. If we get a season 8, it could be very different.

    Minor spoilers below...

I know Chloe is going to be brought to the FBI, and I damn well want to see the 4x4 smash into a car and flip through the air. They keep showing that in the "next week on 24" previews but we still haven't had it!

    7.09 = terrific!

Not that heavy on action, but great in terms of plot twists! Another hot female character is introduced, we find out who the mole is, we're getting closer to the introduction of Voight, the two characters I wanted them to bring back from past seasons BOTH make a return, and I've no idea how they're going to get to Dubaku now. dizzy

Sure. I liked Sprague Grayden in "Jericho", and now she is in 24! Let´s see what her role in the plot is gonna be.

    How have they gone down???

I enjoyed the whole Janis-is-the-mole thing throughout the whole episode, for her to only go and tell Agent Asshole about Jack and Larry working together. As much as I am sick of mole plotlines, this one was good fun, and once again they had me! biggrin

No, actually the audience is very regular: 10% of share and between 6.5 and 7 million total viewers.

They had me too, but I was almost sure the mole was Erika, always showing uo in the key moments.

Nah, she's just the office slut. And one of the most annoying characters ever on the show. Every time she appears on screen I should "f**k off" at my TV.

And only 6.5-7 million views? Man, season 6 killed the show. It used to get between 11 and 15 million. sad

Sorry, my mistake. 6.5-7 is the share, 10 is the total viewers (in millions). So it´s 6.5-7% of share and 10 million viewers total.

    Ratings for 7.10 - 3.8/9. Ouch!

It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great. Definitely a filler episode. The opening action scene was decent (especially for TV), but it felt kind of awkward as well. And yes! The two most annoying characters in the show are now dead/in custody! biggrin

And I've read spoilers and know it's coming, but why do you think Curtwood Smith's secretary is worred about going to see the President when a "high value target" is going to be attacked in an hour? rolleyes Let the shit begin!

    Really? shocked
I´ve found it one of the most intense episodes not of this season but the past seasons! The chase sequence (pretty good score cue from Callery by the way), all the mole plot at the FBI HQ, the post data recovery manhunt, the sequence at the hospital between Jack and Renee (special mention to this one: Renne is the only human being that is alive after slapping Jack not once but twice), the return of Kurtwood Smith and the misterious final meeting with Jack and Tony (I still think Alemida is not as good as he appears to be).

    Ant, check the ratings here: http://www.zap2it.com/tv/ratings/zap-tv … 7439.story 7x10: 6.9/10

    - The chase sequence was very cool, the music started just like Bim Bam Smash, but it got really cheesy just before Jack crashed. This season doesn't have the worst music in 24, but it really does sound childish sometimes.

    - Callery kept tracking music from seasons 5 and 6 in this episode too. Did you notice the same music playing when they were trying to get Morika out of the car as the same as when Jack rescued the guy from the helicopter in season 6? And what the hell was with the Jack/Audry theme playing when sexy agent Walker told Rosa her sister was dead?

    - Why was Rosa even brought to the hospital where the terrorist was? Surely her sisters body would have been transported to a morgue?

    - The chip inside Dubaku was so Coral Snake leader in season 2. rolleyes tongue

    - The Agent Asshole and Erica thing was stupid. At least it meant she had some kind of purpose this season, but she's dead already...a good thing I suppose though.

    - I was hoping Sean would escape and we'd end up with a classic Jack Bauer torture scene.

    - The Jack/Tony scene was pretty cool, but I HATE the line "It's not over" on 24. We know that as we're only 10 episodes in, but why do they practically have to end one plot now and start another one? Also it was pretty impressive that the entire scene was CGI. Jack and Tony never were on the steps outside congress. They were just on some random steps in LA with a green screen behind them!

    - Curtwood Smith! beer

    - Renee slapping Jack = shocked

    - Renee hugging Jack = rolleyes

    - Lastly, the thing that bugged me most of all. Jack's been going on all season about how they can't trust anybody in the FBI, yet he gives the chip that the ENTIRE conspiracy lies on to some random guy with a helicopter?!

It was an ok episode, there were things that bugged me but it was still better than eps 5, 7 and 7 which I really didn't like.

Yeah I thought exactly the same. Actually I knew it since Dubaku mentions it.

Hmm...the character hasn´t (hadn´t) charisma enough to be the bad guy for more time.

This was a first approach, next step is the kiss. Although Jack is less human each episode I´m afraid.
