Fuck.
As is explained in this rather shocking article, bananas 'were selectively bred over time by humans to attain their current "intelligently designed" form. Wild bananas (below) contained large seeds, were not "made to sit comfortably in the human hand", nor did they have the "pointed tip for ease of entry".' -
