Ha! There are actually three titles on your list that also made my Top 10. Guess we weren't so radically different after all.

That's good, I've already got 9 of them. I haven't heard the Morricone one and I would place Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation in there somewhere, but otherwise, a solid list for a surprisingly solid year.

Edit: And thank you for choosing the truly best Giacchino score of 2015 (not Jupiter Ascending)!

Jupiter Ascending isn't even my second favourite Giacchino of the year (Inside Out). It's probably just about my third favourite.
  1. Jupiter Ascending is so clearly the best Giacchino score of the year to me that I can't believe this conversation is happening! dizzy

All of the Giacchinos were rubbish, except TOMORROWLAND which had a decent cue or two.

Indeed. Tomorrowland was great... and I want to emphasize was until I saw the movie where that one Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade theme seemed to play over and over and over again ad nauseum. There are some terrific cues and set pieces - "Pin-Ultimate Experience" is exceptional even though it is ripped right out of Chris Tilton's Sin City score - but hearing the score in context knocked this one out of my personal top 10.

Jupiter Ascending, on the other hand, reminds me of Giacchino in video game mode - the medium where he did his best work. Being allowed to compose a hefty portion of the music before hand was a stroke of genius. It was my favorite score of the year until John Williams came in a schooled every one with The Force Awakens.

    Jupiter Ascending<Tomorrowland<Jurassic World<Inside Out

(Keeping in mind I haven't seen the latter yet and may appreciate the music more in context. I've seen the other three films.)

That same thing happened to me. TOMORROWLAND was my favorite Giacchino score of the year before I saw the film. That theme gets really old.

I had the opposite experience with INSIDE OUT. I though it was nice before viewing the film, but after seeing the film I think that score is fantastic. Wonderful Pixar film, too. Their first film with some of the old Pixar magic since UP, in my opinion.

I only need 90,000 visitors to my website within the next 26 hours for 2016 to be the most successful year ever. With your help I think I can do it. If you just tell three people to visit, and tell each of them to tell three people, and then assuming at least one of those people works for a major broadcaster and accidentally includes subliminal messages in broadcasts then I am very sure it will happen. Thanks everyone.
  8. If I go to movie-wave and click refresh a bunch of times, does that help?

I'm lucky if I've had 5 visitors to my Celluloid Tunes page this year. At this point, I feel like I'm basically just doing them for myself, with no audience. So movie-wave is in a different league altogether.

My top five of 2016, because everyone's really interested in knowing that:

1: The Light Between Oceans - Alexandre Desplat - http://www.movie-wave.net/the-light-between-oceans/
    2: Abzu - Austin Wintory - http://www.movie-wave.net/abzu/
    3: The Monkey King 2 - Christopher Young - http://www.movie-wave.net/the-monkey-king-2/
    4: Gods of Egypt - Marco Beltrami - http://www.movie-wave.net/gods-of-egypt/
    5: Rogue One - Michael Giacchino - http://www.movie-wave.net/rogue-one-a-star-wars-story/

Lots of other good ones. Star Trek Beyond, Doctor Strange, High Rise, The Red Turtle and Dark Waves probably round out the top ten.
