We're actually going to get one day of spring on Sunday when the temperature is going to hit 60. The Minnesota Gopher baseball team is playing a double header and I think I'll be going.

It's been an excellent spring day here in Norway too -- temperatures at 12 C and sun. And no sign of snow, at least not downtown. March is always unreliable that way, though; so is April sometimes. We can only hope.

The snow is starting to come, a pretty fair amount of the stuff. I don't think it's going to last too long as the temperatures will go back up to the 50's on Saturday. This has been a long winter.

As quickly as we got the snow it's already gone leaving little lakes of water due to the fact the sewers are still frozen. See what Thor and I have to put up with.

Indeed. And it's expected to be lots of rain and snow in the days to come.

Apparently, we're getting some leftovers from Sahara(!?!), causing rain to carry dust.

  6. I meant Minnesota, not Norway, sorry. Not a whole lot of mountains up there... biggrin

Wow, almost summer weather in Oslo today and tomorrow -- temps expected to reach about 17-18 degrees C, which is unusual for this time of year. Had a nice English breakfast on my balcony (that sounded more posh than what it is).

Going out with some friends to one of the Oslo islands today, the last day of Easter holiday.

Yikes, what summer temperatures I've returned to!

22 C today and expected to reach 25 later in the week. This is not the Norway I left 4 days ago!

What I love about this period is that summer is inevitable -- no late snow falls are possible (except in VERY rare instances here in the South lowlands), and none will arrive untill November at the earliest, possibly later.

How's it like where you live?
    I am extremely serious.

    Where do you live Christian?

Great weather here too. We had a wedding on Saturday and it was nice to have the drinks in the garden of where the party was. Yesterday a very lazy day in Ghent (due to the wedding of course). Started with breakfast on our sunny terrace, then for a little walk through the city and along some corners we rarely visit. We had soup and quiche at some hipster bar and then we found a really cool café to practice even more laziness in the quiet garden, away from the busy city center that was packed with tourists.

Getting to 28 C in Oslo today, very unusual for the time. Sizzling hot!

Trouble is all my friends are occupied with various other things and cannot hang out with me. What to do on a sparkling summer day, all alone?!?
