TV critic Mark Kermode didn't think much of 2012.

He was disappointed that, for a film about the end of the world, all the film poster warning could say was that the film "contains sustained mild threat"..."for a film about the end of the world, that's just not on!"

I'm feeling a lot better but I won't be going out tonight, an old and very close friend is coming over to mine tonight to stay over and I haven't seen him for a long time so it'll be some food and some booze and some music and chat cool

Sounds sensible, given your condition. I'm still recuperating from the heavy Warzsaw trip myself, so I'll be staying home too. Perhaps with a glass of red wine or two. Alone. With a film or something.

Not 100% but yeah, I feel brilliant compared to a couple of days ago. I expect I'll go out tomorrow night but I'll listen to what my body tells me.

I'm invited to a birthday party tonight and although I'm in a shitty mood (for a variety reasons that I have no intention of going into here), I could just as well drown my worries in alchohol WITH friends than drowning them in alcohol alone, in my apartment. The only problem is - I don't have any birthday presents. Granted, the host says he doesn't expect them, but still. Does anyone have any crisis solutions? I guess I'll have to find something in the closet and be a re-gifter! smile

Amazon gift certificates have gotten me out of tight corners more than often.

That or promises for dinner parties later in the year, or other (unverifiable...but maybe that's abit cynical wink ) future event gifts always seem to do the trick!
