I think the cleverest thing I did last night when I got home was not logging on here, I was well and truly pickled, somehow I staggered home without killing myself on the ice

After taking it very easy on Christmas day ( except for really stuffing my face so much that I felt uncomfortable ) I'm going to go out tonight and drink beer and play pool.
Beer & pool eh, you'd never have guessed that, admit it.

At a guess I'm thinking you all're too hungover to even contemplate a night out?

Very quiet in the pub tonight but still very entertaining and in good company. I ended up not bothering with playing pool.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

I was wondering what all of you will be up to tomorrow night?
Despite the seriously sombre begining to my day tomorrow I will be celebrating big style in the evening ( and my good friend would approve and not want it any other way )On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

I've never really payed much attention to New Year's celebrations. There will be plenty of other excuses to party during the year. -

That's good to know, Tim. The day will obviously be "held" in his honour, and there's something comforting about saluting him by joy and life spirit too, don't you think? Not only the sad and somber feelings that I'm sure you and your friends have had in more private moments.
Condition depending, I'll be going to a small dinner party first (turkey?), then head downtown to meet some other friends of mine and watch the fireworks, then we're heading to this HUGE party after that with some 100 people in a largish apartment. Friend's friends-type of thing.I am extremely serious. -

Hope it goes well today, Tim - and have a great party tonight!
Two of the three people who were meant to be coming round here tonight have cried off with colds. I wish they had phoned up an hour earlier so I wouldn't have bought quite such a ridiculous quantity of food! -

Thanks for the best wishes James, I'm ready and off in exactly half an hour.
As to your friends, I find people almost always do that ( not tell you until the last moment )

The plan was to go to join some good friends in a town nearby for pre-00:00 festivities, drinkies and fireworks, and then back to a dance party...
But with my current 'condition' I daresay there's been the occasional second thought... We'll see.
Tim, take heart, and courage!
It'll be a grand service!

I went out again tonight, it was very low key and the pub I went to was barely a 10th full ( if that ) but it did make it very sociable, I ended up sat at the bar talking with a couple of people I didn't know and the two ( relatively un-busy ) barmaids ( two lovely girls in their twenties who combine looks and intellect
), conversation veered between music, politics and 'what did you do last night' type stuff and inventing new words that should go in the dictionary.....I'll see if I still remember them tomorrow? On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

I went out last night too and the town was almost a ghost town. The night after night year´s Eve has to be the most quiet night of the whole year.

One of them is married but the other, a very pretty blond ( I had to force myself to talk to her face because her boobs are incredible ) named Ali is ( unbelievably ) free, shall I tell her a Spanish hearthrob is on his way to whisk her off her feet?
And yeah, all pubs seem to be nearly empty the night after new years eve but it makes the atmosphere more intimate and sociable. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -
