Eh, no. I didn't even know that Jackman was a ballet dancer?!?
This was a 1998 commision for The American Ballet Theater and The San Francisco Ballet. The music was released on Varese Sarabande:

I think Hugh did one in Australia. I might be completely wrong. It was probably a totally different ballet.
I still really want to hear the music! -

NP : OMMADAWN - Mike Oldfield
An early work but already far more sophisticated than Tubular Bells. Love it!

Mussorgsky - Pictures At An Exhibition - Ravel arrangement
Full of beauty and colorful melodies and diverse instrumentation. Wonderfully mediative and highly impressionistic. It's definitely one of my all time favorites. -

Not really, I need to get into his middle works.
I mean, I love Incantations and Ommadawn (I can't quite get into Tubular Bells, it's a bit raw on the edges to me) and I definitely adore Music from the Spheres.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

Hugh Jackman as a ballet dancer is easier to imagine as a ballet dancer than Gene Hackman, though!http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

NP : TAM O' SHANTER - Malcolm Arnold
Brilliant short concert work about a drunk Irishman being chased through the forest by demons, goblins and faeries.
A riotous piece that deserves a good LOUD play
