Sony Classical will release the Angels & Demons soundtrack on May 12.

So, no Decca this time? I couldn't botter less about the film, but the score is the most anticipated one at the moment!

I would just hope it's as good a listen as DaVinci however long it is.

I want to be a step forward Da Vinci Code, not a too similar retake.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

I saw the new trailer yesterday...

I don't know what Zimmer can do with this movie. I really don't know. He obviously needs to be close to his score for da Vinci Code, but I'm sure he don't want to repeat himself. I don't know what expect...

I was addicted to The Da Vinci Code book, but I couldn't finish Angels and Demons because it was too silly (yes, more than The Da Vinci Code, wich it has some sense versomility ).

I have no problem with the movie or book; i thought the first one was incredibly stupid anyway so i only care for the score! lick

The DaVinci Code was a badly written but fun page-turner of a book, the film was forgettable but like you I only care about the score.

I never read Angels & Demons and have no intention to.

I found A&D to be a much better book than Da Vinci Code, though DVC had a better ending. But A&D was action filled and a real page turner to the last page IMO.

The short amount of cues is very promising (and very rare!), can't wait to see the tracktimes punk (only too bad there aren't any Latin titles... I like them).

Oh the tracks will be long
I'm glad there aren't any spoilers here tongue
    waaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh
  2. Zimmer isn't quite renowned for his spoiler titles. He makes the titles so wonderfully convoluted and nonsense that they have NO spoilers at all lol

Zimmer is one of the composers who takes care more of his albums.

With few exeptions, One of the reasons why I loved his music is because his realeases are so easy to listen without the images.

    Titles, lengh and compilations.

Long time lurker, but I found this today and had to share. Apple released a sneak peak of the movie with an intro by Hans and Ron Howard, and it includes new music!

    YES YESSSSSSSSSSSS!

"Chevaliers" theme with organ and the violin solo (and again, electronic percusion) is amazing!!

PS:How I said the Angels and Demons book was not so addictive like The Da Vinci Code. But , dammed, the movie seems much more action packed, darker and with more tension! (Wich is not very dificult since Da VInci Code had no real sense of danger)

shocked Great piece of music! (nice to see Nick Glennie-Smith and Bruce Fowler in the booth BTW). And the trailer looks pretty good too.
Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you

Whoa... the music sounds amazing! Hans did the right thing hiring Joshua Bell for violin solos; the violin version of the Chevaliers theme with the accompanying organ is fantastic. The movie looks great too, can't wait!

That arrangement is very spot-on and fits the visuals perfectly. I guess the decision to focus the music for the 2nd movie on that very piece, is great news for ZImmer fans; myself included. Can't wait!

    Holy crap!!!!

Hans Zimmer's "Angel and Demons" is right now playing on my laptop! The first track is over (a very energetic Orchestral and choral romp!). Exactly what I was missing on The DaVinci Code-Score!
The second track has just started... here we have the Chevalier de Sangreal-Clip with Joshua Bells violin Solos and heavy percussion and loud choir. After 1:13 the track gets quite calmer... more later!

Ps.: the track playing during the sneak peak is "503".

    All best wishes

I haven't read such an enthusiastic comment about a Zimmer score for some time. I hope it's as good as you say it is.
