I have only blown it out of proportion because of your replies.

    I'll simplify it for you:

A score was recorded in 2008. It is being released in 2009.
Both facts not dependent on opinion. The way we interpret them is.
We interpret them differently. Therefore we have differing opinions.

No need to get riled up about it.

That couldn't be more simple! biggrin

Again, why ask if I Am Legend is eligible if in your opinion it already is? By asking you are looking for a set of rules and regulations as to what is eligible for this Best of 2008 thread. I guess maybe we should contact the person who opened this thread as to what is eligible and what isn't. Then, who cares about anyone's opinion.

Your assumptions about the question are wrong I'm afraid. I did not know exactly when it was released or when it was recorded. I suppose I should have specified and asked "when was I Am Legend recorded?"

Open your mind to philosophy and you'll see there's no need to get so annoyed.

I don't doubt it. But it does help with discussions like this (and many more) whether you're interested in it or not.

Give me a break. All I want to discuss in this thread and on this message board is film scores. Take philosophy somewhere else.

Then you should have chosen your semantics more carefully. I didn't begin with the intention to delve into light philosophy, but you forced me to with your ignorance of what I was attempting to describe.

Again --> rolleyes I know what you were describing and was rather bored with it because I hear and read the same arguments time and time again when someone gets way too sensitive over the fact that someone else was disagreeing with their arguments or "opinion." cry And it was rather amusing to see you blow something a simple as a Best of 2008 list completely out of proportion. You can continue to blame me for forcing you to get philosophical but I saw it as whining.

    Oh please, Steven. Please.

You obviously don't know the first thing about me. So by not being opening minded about philosophy means I'm not an open minded person? How idiotic. I'm about as open minded of a person as you will get. I just have no interest in philosophy. And by not agreeing with your arguments or opinions doesn't make me close minded.

    Stuff it, Steven!

Well, imagine you first heard it in 2009? You'd be perfectly able to argue it's a 2009 score. It's all relative.

I have given this a great deal of thought, and I honestly feel that El Cid was the best score of 2008.
