NP : HOWARD THE DUCK - John Barry

I haven't played this for some time, it's a great score but it does mean I have to reconnect the turn table with the stereo.

I'd love to see this wonderful score get a full release on CD.

The opening track is, but I don't think the Kate Winslet theme, that theme isn't heard in the opening track

Which track features the Winslet theme?

Iris and Jasper for one, but it also appears in another track, don't know which one anymore

Love this. Great themes and melodically superb counterpoints and outrageously interesting orchestration.

Vangelis & Robert Janson - Swiadectwo (The Testimony)

Beautiful! Rich, heartfelt writing especially with the piano dominant themes by Janson. Those Poles sure know how to write meditative gems.
Nadzieja is one of my fave cues of 2008! Friggin' gorgeous!

NP: Peacemaker and King Arthur (Zimmer)

Not at the same time, because this could move the island. the Universe has a way to self correcting... dizzy

2 major macho scores from Zimmer. The first more complex, the second with more textures and ideas.

"chase" stiill is one of the best action tracks by Zimmer and "Sarajevo" is just breathaking ( i love this lament...So touching. Pure Zimmer.Speacially in the end of "peacemaker" with the male chorus and the synthetiser).

I remember how I spent a lot of years waiting for this kind of lament insted the boring lisa gerrad in gladiator or the boring The Thin Red Line-esque in Pearl Harbor.

    Yeah, Cabin Christian is spooky.

NP Pearl Harbor (the action tracks composed by 10 people)

"Oklahoma" - "Airborne" - "Doolittle Training" - "Take Off" (film version) make for a great 25 minutes of action music.

  3. So for the second part of this groundbreaking trilogy:

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (Howard Shore) (regular album)

Brilliant new themes, an even better stylistic approach, more awesome choral chanting, a heartstopping finale, what more can I ask for?

Simple: I want Howard Shore for The Hobbit !!!

Well, you have to understand India is not so devoloped as some other countries, so that's why the electronic music from Slumdog Milionare sounds like that.

I guess now, he could pay a new Roland Synthetiser and star to do addional music for remote control people.
