This is one of Goldsmith's 60's efforts I'm not big on, it's pleasent enough but I wouldn't personally rush to get it.

Or is there greatness in the film unreleased on album?

( I tried to watch it once )

    Are you asking Morricone?
I have about 1138 recommendations (and that's scratching the very top of his oeuvre).

...but you probably just want to play a Disney score again. wink

NP: Prince Of Persia:The Sands Of Time (game score) - Stuart Chatwood

Not bad, quite melodic, loads of Arabic percussion and -male AND female- wailing stuf going on, but I simply have heard TOO much in this vein already for this score to retain much interest. It's not very varied either.

  1. To conclude the epicness:

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (Howard Shore) (regular album)

However much I love it, this is surprisingly my least favourite from the three, Shore nails the brilliance at many times, but overall this score is too dark for me to completely lose myself into.

you know, we have our diferences with Tyler. But I'm in this mood today too.

NP: A selection of: Rambo and AVP Requiem

The first 4 tracks of every of these scores will do the job.

"Decimation proclamation" ( I love, love the Aliens homenage) and "No Rules of Engagement"

I meant "What else can I play?" as "Today there is no other scores I want to play! (because I just saw it)". Not sure it's a proper English expression. (please teach me if it's right or not wink )

Once Upon A Time In America is only one Morricone album I have, so far. But I love The Mission and Once Upon A Time In West, which are often played at StreamingSoundtrack.com (SST, where I visit almost everyday). I've heard many more Morricone at SST, but it's hard to remember the titles...

For example, I liked (or rather got addicted) a score with strange male voice "shong shong shong...". I don't remember the name, but there is an explosion on the album cover. It's also used on one of SST ads... what was it? dizzy

    NP:The Lion King complete (Zimmer)

I never have listened this score very much, even if the main theme is one of the most beautiful compositions. Probably it is because his short realease.

Anyway, listening the complete score I notice typical Zimmer problems : Some stuff with unfinished orchestrations, or too much Zimmer old tricks. The sound quality of this realease doesn't help either. We need a good realease!

"this Land" is one of his most touching compositions, but if I have to choose give me Prince of Egypt or Tears of the Sun.

Sorry to the fans of this score.

That would be A Fistful of Dynamite aka Duck You Sucker. They're actually singing "Sean Sean Sean".

It's a good expression, and once again, I just misinterpreted it.
(Mainly because it's a written-word board, and expressions like those carry a very clear inflection of tone on the verb to make sure it's a hyperbole.

I think -if I really would want to nitpick- that to use the future/optative form 'could' would possibly have helped to drive home you were speaking metaphorically.)
