Yeah, it's true.
But I liked the new Star Trek.
(note that I never saw an other ST movie though)
you think that will get you off the hook?

Star Trek was all pomp and no circumstance. The story sucked and the bad guy was forgettable... it had no meat on its bones.
Unlike Salvation.
Or indeed Shawshank. -
- CommentTimeJun 7th 2009 edited
I didn't dislike Shawshank. For me it didn't live up to all expectations I had, gotten from various reactions and posts both here and other places. Great film, but to say it's one of the best I've seen, no, certainly not.
T4 is forgettable as well actually, and it wasn't fun, or had any meat either.Kazoo -

Biggest crime of the century...
The Day the Earth Stood Still
on blu-ray
This was a perfectly average film for me. It wants to grow us a conscience in how we're destroying the planet but never succeeds in delivering that message. The film's pacing is way off and the action scenes felt uninspired. And Keanu Reeves as an alien seems like an okay role for him but he has zero charisma in this, in fact none of the actors are convincing, because their roles are without interest. Not one I'll be watching anytime soon."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Hey hey, I had heard the score for the third one! And I liked that one. But again, not the same levels of some people here. Perhaps I should stop comparing myself with others.Kazoo -

You haven't answered my question. What films do you like? (I.e. list some all-time favourites.) -

OOh, my all time favourites.
I have not really a list or so, and I'm not good at answering this question as I mostly forget half of my list. But when these are on tv or I stumble upon them, I'll keep on watching.
Like I said, American Beauty and Road to Perdition.
Also Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain.
The Bourne series.
The Incredibles, Toy Story 1 and 2Kazoo -

The Hangover
I have not laughed that hard in a long time. I missed many lines of the film due to the roaring laughter of the audience. Good stuff.
Zach Galifianakis was hilarious, as well as the rest of the cast.
I'm still laughing
That's exactly what my friends said after they saw it this Friday. I'm going to see it this week. -

indeed, in the end it is average and acceptable what it tries to bring of meaning. But the movie's so slow, so un emotional that you don't care at all. Sad considering the meaning is quite good enough
what did you think of the score?waaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -

If I were enforcing a rule on quoting, I'd say you would need to edit that post to something like this:

Defiance
One I was saddened to miss in theaters.
It was great to finally experience the score with the film.
I enjoyed this one much more than this year's Valkyrie.
What an amazing story of human endurance and survival.
I thought Daniel Craig and the rest of the cast were fantastic.
The forest this film was shot in was beautiful. I wish there was a forest like there close to where I live. I shall have to travel somewhere so that I may go on a hiking trip. -

Just watched an interesting bit in Defiance's special features about James Newton Howard scoring the film. It also featured Joshua Bell on the violin. It was very interesting hearing their thoughts on the film and score.
It is also always lovely to watch the orchestra play. -

They filmed it in Lithuania, north-east from my country. I've heard that filming in Poland was considered by Zwick and Co.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

I have a friend doing that next week. I need to really set aside some dates. Any advice at all?
I'm still reading my SAS survival guide!
