    The Hangover

    Hilarious. biggrin

    "Hello,
How about that ride in, I guess that why they call it Sin City... ha ha. You guys might not know this, but I consider myself a bit of a loner. I tend to think of myself, as a one man wolf pack. Though when my sister brought Doug home I knew he was one of my own. And my wolf pack, it grew by one. So there was two of us in the wolf pack, I was alone first in the pack and then doug joined later. And six months ago when Doug introduced me to you guys, I thought "wait a second could it be?" and now I know for sure I just added two more guys to my wolf pack. Four of us wolves running around the desert together in Las Vegas, looking for strippers and cocaine. So tonight, I make a toast!

*takes out knife and cuts hand.*

    Blood Brothers!"

  9. Ella Enchanted

Yep, you read it correctly! Anne Hathaway love. She is so cute love in this movie. And it is a typical movie with all the expected twists, but I like it. Lovely likable characters, a bit in the vein of The Princess Bride and having nice enough effects. I simply liked it smile

  10. Kingdom of Heaven - Director's Cut

A different film to the theatrical cut. A bit slower pace, yes. But a lot more makes sense and I really liked the expansion of the priest role (Michael Sheen is great there) and the Sibylla subplot shows how great actress (and how hot) Eva Green is. It also shows how Orlando Bloom sucks as an actor, but oh well, Balian has to just look great I guess (though in the duel scenes he seems a bit funny with his big hair and the whole movement).

It's still not a PERFECT movie. You don't set out to make a three hour epic if the main character's development arc ends after an hour (and I am talking of the director's cut here!, it was even worse in the theatrical cut, which cut some interesting details about relations between the priest and Balian!) and the best character doesn't quite have a face (Edward Norton is EXQUISITE as Baldwin).

The film is total WIN visually. I think I won't exaggerate much if I say that it's Ridley Scott's BEST looking film and that's saying something. Some particularly amazing shots include lights out of focus rapidly zooming out to show a cross carried by the Crusaders, all the Jerusalem siege long shots and Kerak Battle establishing shots (Sibylla's POV, that is)... Basically each shot you could frame and hang on your wall...

    Inspiring.

  11. Harry Gregson-Williams's score works very well where it should work and the replacements aren't bad... But the score should be retained in full in the director's cut.

  12. I think KOH is a fine film in both versions. The whole business of the passive main character doesn't bother me. If the things that happen to him are interesting enough, I never mind when the lead doesn't shape his own destiny. At least in the director's cut, Balian's progression from blacksmith to siege master is made MUCH more credible.

What wasn't so good was the choice of Orlando Bloom to play the lead. He doesn't kill it, but he doesn't do the film many favours along the way.

Yeah. For me he kind of ruined the film. He just isn't believable at all to me. Upon Liam Neeson's death I'm just pissed off. At least Edward Norton and Irons saved the film.

    Meet The Robinsons

shocked wooow. This surprised me a lot! It's very good. But I can't say what are good because they're all spoilers. It's a shame I didn't see it earlier (blame the bland trailers and Chicken Little)

Use of the songs are bad again (except the frog song), but nothing can be worse than Chicken Little vomit

I liked Elfman's score too. It is fun and fit the story and visuals really well. But I can hear Corpse Bride theme here and there dizzy
