I didn´t ask to the guy at the recpetion actually, but I´d bet there´s no pool table in that hotel. I´m sure we can find somewhere else to play though. With the appropriate dose ofof course.

Can someone who has experience over previous Ubeda gatherings, tell me the overall average cost in euros including everything, except the airline tickets? Thanks!Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

100 for the event, 120 for the hotel, 50-60 on food, and then I spent another 50 on CDs.
It's expensive but worth it.
Just keep the words *Michael Giacchino* in your head. -

How much does it cost by bus from the airport to Ubeda? Or alternate transport (if there is any!)The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

If so many are going, I might find the will to reinvestigate the costs.Kazoo -

Anthony´s numbers are pretty accurate Demetris: 100 € for the event, around 120 €
in the hotel (two bed room, around 30 € per person/night), and the food and the drinks well, it depends (not too expensive to eat and drink there though).

750 km. Which remembers me the 8 hours trip I have by car. Thanks for bringing that up D

As Anthony says, you can book almost at the last minute, but the faster you go, the better seats you get for the concert (and friday´s recital).

Granada´s Airport is closer (130 Km), but GRANADA has only direct flights with MADRID, BARCELONA, PALMA DE MALLORCA, LONDON and LIVERPOOL.
Alternate airports are MADRID-BARAJAS (310 Km.) and MÁLAGA (240 Km.), best internationally communicated.

But if I were you, I´d choose train. A 9-10 hours trip by bus is probably the worst of my nightmares.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Yes, a new iniciative that began last year. The guests perform his non film music works. It is NOT a symphonic concert like the saturday one. Last year it was really, really interesting.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

The programme is not available yet.
Now, I wouldn´t be there on wednesday, as you´ll pay an extra night + food for nothing. I´ve never gone there before thursday afternoon, which is what I´ll probably do this year.
Bregt wrote

Sunday is usually dedicated to:
1 - CD signing event (by noon)
2 - Fraternity Lunch: lunch between the composers / attendants (you have to pay extra € for that though).
3 - Flamenco Party: dinner between composers / attendants in a more intimate environment. I´ve been told this is really great, although I´ve never been there (you have to pay extra € for that though).Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Thanks Marcel, valuable info.
You welcome
Keep in mind one thing though:
this info is based on my experience of the previous years. I mean, maybe this year the hotel is 35-40 € per night / person, and not the 30 € I payed last year. This kind of things. But I doubt there are gonna be big variations. Anyway, in the coming weeks we´ll know more regarding hotels, places to stay in, etc.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -
