Indeed. Not a composer I´m eager to meet / listen to in a conference but, IMO, the more composers they can gather, the better. You can always say "hey I met the guy in a film music festival many years ago!".
On a side note, not all the composers invited take part in the symphonic concert.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Oh, I wouldn´t like to spoil the funLet´s wait ´til tomorrow..
Wait... it can't be... surely not... I bet it is! It's Tyler Bates!
If it is, then I will pay to come over just so I can hurl freshly-laid excrement at him. At least then he'll have an idea what it's like to be on the end of a barrage of shit, an experience with which listeners to his albums have become sadly familiar. -

Perhaps they'll be unmasking the identity of the secret ghostwriter of the score for The Weather Man. Apparently his first name is Jordi. -

Well the programme of the concert isn´t available yet (I assume they are working on it), so I´m afraid we´ll have to wait a few weeksAnything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Great! Go there, everyone, go to see the master and enjoy his music!
I won't go, no money no time... anyway I don't need to go oversea to see a guy who lives in my country
He does his own concert tour every year in Japan, I hope I'll go to one of them when time and money allowed.Labels are for cans, not people. - Anthony Rapp -

Well, the questions was focused in order to know if Hisaishi will perform a Piano Solo concert or maybe his music will be performed by a Symphony orchestra. Just looking how much talented and great composers will attend Ubeda this year, my only one concern is how much time will have each one to perform his own music without feeling that it was just a glimpse of what could have been.
Just Hisaishi and Giacchino should take up the entire timing of a whole concert. -

There´s a symphonic concert (saturday 18th night) and a recital (friday 17th night). No official comment on that, but most certainly Hisaishi will have a major role in the symphonic concert. If he has composed (I don´t know, honestly) NON film music he may take part in the recital, which is dedicated to the non film muisic composed by the guests.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Hisaishi composed A LOT of non-film music. Check out Piano Stories... great albums.
He does concert tour to perform his non-film music, film music, and classical music, every year in Japan. Also he re-orchestrated all his scores from the Ghibli (Miyazaki) films for BIG orchestra & BIG chorus on the last summer's Ghibli concert... He has a lot of repertoires to perform in Ubeda!Labels are for cans, not people. - Anthony Rapp
